The Burnt Forest Nightmare is an enchanted serpentwing that spawns in conflagrations. He collects the souls of those who did not have time to hide from the raging fire, looking out for them with many of his eyes. He accompanies them on their last journey and cleanses the place, leaving the very first sprout that will rise from the ashes and give rise to a new life.
