All that only gets worse from here on, but the emergency flares give a bit of visibility.. so at least there's that. The ride down could be almost fun if one doesn't consider the destination, like the longest, slimiest waterslide ever.

Wow, That is an amazing render! I really love how you how you've managed so show the imperfect nature of the flesh with all the hills and valleys as the muscle ungulates the "food" to the gullet. But also use the external lights and the flare showing the rough textures all over the mouth. And how you did the saliva stringers with the little bead of slime on the line looks phenomenal. If possible would you say how you went about making the saliva strings?
Thanks for the kind words, I made the saliva strings basically just modeling it by hand, just used a cube which I extruded and added a subsurface modifier, I model it as a straight line first and then I can bend it to fit to surfaces as needed using proportional editing. I mostly use procedural textures for everything and for the saliva there's a noise texture affecting the transmission to make some parts more transparent than others. I hope that explanation makes sense! glad to elaborate if needed
