I always wondered who made fender...

Fender is kind of like Sony's gaming department. Not many people know who made them, and fewer still even care... or ever will. It's the product itself that becomes big.

Makes you wonder if that's a good thing or a bad thing, though.. having your character become a household name, while you stay a nobody.

Dragoneer and Mr.K-9 are hardly nobodies. Dragoneer is an accomplished artist and Mr.K-9 did the furry slice-of-life comic series called Circles. Check out their FA pages sometime.

Aah, well.. this IS an art site. So it's not like being an accomplished artist is an instant claim to fame... though the more egotistical furres seem to think otherwise.

Personally, I've never heard of either of them, and several people have told me that Fender was a collaboration between much of the FA staff and didn't actually belong to anyone.

*sigh...* Dragoneer runs Fur Affinity. One day he said, 'Hey, I got an idea for a Fur Affinity mascot. I think I'll comission K-9 to help create him.

Because I don't know about the contractual rights of this, or if it was just for fun, I thought that I should show the proper respect to the creators.

I dunno. I guess I just never got into the whole mascot thing; fender doesn't really impress me.. but if it's any consolation, he looks cute the way you drew him. :)

Thanks, Iridium! Yeah, I hadn't colored anything in a long time. I bought a copy of OpenCanvas Plus, which I found out too late disabled all the cool networking capability that folks can do with the free version.

My friend from the convention was very patient. It took me like two weeks to color in the sketch. I just get so distracted. I hope I can do more artwork for people to look at!

I've been considering going, it all counts on my money...I mean, I do live in south jersey allready anyways...
