"It sure looks like it is going rain, doesn't it?" Whisper swept her silver hair back as the wind blew through its long strands. It was the first day of spring, and Whisper had asked, or rather, insisted, you go out for a walk with her through the park to enjoy the blooming sakura trees -
Confused, you looked up at the sky: it was a crisp 86F (30°C) with a slight breeze.
"No, the sky is as clear as can be! There is not a cloud in sight!" You pointed up at the sun, its beams shining on the two as you walked through the park-
"Huh, isn't that funny? Well I am prepared regardless," she said with a gleeful chuckle, twirling the umbrella handle in her paw. She seemed...unusually pleasant, even for a wolfcat. You eyed her, then the umbrella once more, and noticed there was something...off about that umbrella. At first glance, it looked like an umbrella, but she was clutching it quite tightly, especially for it being such a nice day out.
"Whisper, why ARE you holding an umbrella? You don't need it..." You whispered to her- why you were not sure, especially considering there was no one else within earshot of you two.
"Because...I like to be prepared." Glancing around, she eyed you, then surrounding the area before tugging on the umbrella's handle, revealing a very sharp blade! Huh...crafty indeed. She merely smirked before nudging the blade back into its cover-
"Like I said, I am always prepared, for any and everything."
With a frustrated sigh, you shook your head. It wasn't like you could do anything to stop her or talk her out of it. All you could do was hope she wasn't going to use said sword on you. I mean she did invite you on a walk right? That was a good thing...right?
...as a precaution, you asked her if she was in the mood for some lunch; your treat. Better safe than sorry!
Let the record show, Whisper is prepared for rain, sleet, snow, and potential attackers! LOL
Wrapping up some last minute winter art of Whisper before her fur changes colors for the season. We had a very mild winter this year where I live, to the point I technically could have let Whisper's fur been brown and spotted well into the winter months...but for the sake of consistently and to avoid confusion, I went ahead with it! Her fur will be back to its lovely brown spots very soon!
Gorgeous art by the wonderful: zenoya Thank you so much again! It was such a pleasure to work with you! If you are not watching her, please do so.
