rhino guy seems to be taking this very personally. I wonder if he had some past experience that made him think this way🤔? you usually don't act like this without some big reason for your actions.

If my guess is right about Buns having trained in the League before he could be the one having soured the rhino's view on psychic power users. Even if I still see him more as the physic super with power over latex his power over it could also be of the psychic realm.

Or he's perhaps trying to make sure none of them stumble upon any secrets he has in his mind. We already know he's up to some shady stuff after letting that one guy that literally tortured Frostbite back into the world. Who knows what other secrets he has that he wants to make sure NO ONE finds out.

I feel like the Rhino has something against psychics

My bet is that Buns is the one that soured rhino's view on psychics if he was in the League as a trainee.

Kenneth defending with the new psychic not being a Mind Controller does somehow fit way too much with Buns mind bending his lower drones into mindless automatons through the latex suits.
Could also be why Obsidian, Holt and Josh are not mindless like most of the others. It would be 2 super powers waging war against each other over dominance so he created those just with minimal control of himself.

Could also be why lion and bear have the hottest sex in all time. The smybiote can only restrain them if they are not mind bend on breaking free. Holt for sure gets a sexual high out of the denial and Josh was not even trying before to get off. He forced himself to be frigid as to not feel attachment.

I also fear something bad is going to happen to that poor psychic super.

Rhino's attitude might also be why Josh's super girlfriend was misused in that plot to cut his emotional ties and why she left after it. Iirc she way a psyhic power user. So for rhino she was a non desired second class super that as best thrown to the curve. Might also explain how Buns got Ikiryo as he is a psychic as well possibly shunned by the League for his abilities.

That analysis makes quite a bit of sense now that I think about it. There seems to be some sort of crutch against people with psychic powers, regardless of the specifics of that psychic power. And the main bad guy, Buns, using the sentient latex suits to bend others to his will might also hint at his psychic abilities as you mentioned; this also led to Josh and Holt having the most mind-numbing sex of their lives.

And because of their strong wills, Buns sees them as a tool of sorts to take down the possible love interest Kenneth might have been to him. And because of how the "lovers turned to enemies" plot line usually goes is that they might have had some sort of nasty breakup. Maybe Buns cheated on the rhino, or the rhine, the big boss, was a victim of Buns' mind control and Buns might have mind-controlled the rhino neither out of his pure desire to dominate the big guy nor subconsciously because of an oppressed desire for power over others.

Whatever it is as we have no concrete evidence, we have only circumstantial evidence that could prove rhino's and Buns' possible romantic backstory that ended with a nasty breakup, thus explaining rhino's strong disliking of psychic power-wielding superheroes, even if they're just an empath.

well there is indeed some grudge from the rhino to psychics.
Altho Josh's girlfriend was just not a very powerful hero herself!

I love how you keep building the mythology of this world with each page Buns. I am getting really bad creeper vibes from the Rhino. And I don't care if he is officially a 'hero' in most people's eyes. If he is back door dealing and trying to force certain people to keep from using their powers to help then he deserves to go down. I really hope nothing terrible happens to Ms Nebeda (even if we do not know her yet, she is still an innocent). On another note, Kenneth looks very handsome in his classroom suit!

Telekinetic characters are my favorite, but I can't put aside his mistreatment of the Doberman. That is reprehensible and I hope he gets what is coming to him.
