Ancient recipe equals, hamburger, guess Luna really did like these. Also nice to see some slice of life XD
All that said, Luna seems to have doubts, so I'm assuming that she isn't actually quite sure what will happen anymore. Looks like another case of her blind optimism, we'll just have to wait and see.

imagine a species capable of altering genes too the point of it becoming cosmetic. Buying a injection that turns your eyes into something that looks like cat's eyes. Might even give you better night vision.
Now imagine centuries of trends and various levels of decadence and acceptance where people have altered themselves genetically so much that evolution sorta started kicked in on a low passive sorta way.
Then boom tech goes down. Apocalypse happens ect ect. Guess who can't make babies with anyone now except people with similar types of genetic modifications? And there ya go...boneafide artificial evolution running face first into natural evolution so that countless years later they're all now basically different species with the base "Humanoid" shape due to the base template being old humans.

Regarding Luna's problem, it looks like things are not going to be "fine" tomorrow, although we'll have to wait to find out how this story continues. And regarding the hamburger that Luna made, what strikes me, as well as many here, is the "very ancient recipe" she used to make it in the first place, which raises a lot of questions about the lore of the world in which the characters live.
She had better not be proud of blinding Nigel. And I'm still mad at her for how she handled him, and how she never did anything to his parents for abandoning him. I hope karma come back to bite his parents hard in some way somehow.
I feel it shows her favoritism by her making the girls hamburgers and Nigel is probably is starving in his cell, after all can he even feed him self now. And I can't imagine anyone but Tristan wanting to help him eat. I hope he gets his sight back some way.
I have said it before I'll say it again. What ever happens at the end I hope Luna makes it up to Nigel, and Nigel gets the best ending.

Between Nigel and Tristan, there are many arguments that point to Tristan having it worse, believe it or not, based on what we know.
With all that said, regardless of what happened, was it a bit too harsh? Yes. Did Luna handle it poorly? Also yes. Does Nigel have to take accountability for his action? Yes. Does he also need to stop blaming everyone else for his problems? That would be a yes too.
Honestly I think it's less that Luna needs to make it up to him, and more Nigel needs to move on past her. He's literally stuck in the past, thinking about things that should have happened, things that he should have been given, instead of focusing on his present and his future. He's effectively stunted himself, cause of his jaded views, and his hyper fixation on the past.

An ancient recipe? Now that is interesting lore right there. I wonder if humanity is, by some chance, still around. You know what would be awesome? what if, and just hear me out on this one, humanity did something similar in the movie "planet of the apes" and genetically modified the animals in their world, only for said animals and other genetic experiments to strike back against them. The only difference would be that humanity, using their incredibly technologically superior capabilities, created life ships and left earth after many years of war, so as to survive the evolved animals onslaught.
Now all that is left of humanity on earth is bits and pieces of their culture and ancient technology, buried by the rubble and soot of a long, horrifying war, one that is capable of scarring even gods. I wonder, is it possible that humanity may return to earth after many years have passed?
If it does happen, I would imagine that it would terrify the Gods, for their old creators to return with technology far superior to what humanity originally had in the old days, technology that now is on par with their magic. It would also probably piss them off to find out that, after hundreds, possibly even thousands of years later, humanity had completely forgotten about their creations, and worried more about spreading across the stars, creating colonies and utilizing the newest galactic resources that are now at their disposal.
As a matter of fact, it would be so funny if the reason this entire plague business was started in the first place by the villain was because he had a vision of their return. When he tried to implore the other gods to prepare for their eventual arrival, they were either incredibly skeptical of his vision or didn't believe him at all, and as a result refused to create a vast fighting force. Feeling he had no other choice in the matter, he started a grand plague that would allow him to build his forces, in preparation of humanities eventual, horrid return. Only to find out that they couldn't care less about this tiny little planet which they have obviously forgotten was once originally their cradle world.
It would be hilarious if they sent only one guy to this planet to harvest it's resources, and in doing so turned the entire situation into a sort of silly misunderstanding, where everyone, even the gods, thinks this guy is trying to destory their entire world with horrible, life ending machines, while the poor dude is merely trying to make a living, sending valuable resources back to the people of his home planet, completely unaware that the planet he is harvesting is inhabited all the while. He would immediately be seen as some sort of god of death, coming to avenge a "supposedly" dead race. It would be hilarious if the Tree of Life saw him as death itself, her polar opposite, and in time, would try to reason with him not to destroy their world. The guy in the meantime would be incredibly confused and unsure of what to do after finding out the world is populated with intelligent life, thinking he made first contact. It would also be funnier if the Tree of life and the guy eventually got together (Let's be honest, we all want to see the tree of life in a wholesome relationship with some nice, gentle guy, who probably doesn't even reach her waist. The guy isn't even short for a human being, humans are just naturally shorter than the people of this world, being generally around chili's height. They are essentially the dwarves of this universe, in my opinion.)
I know this is extroadinarliy likely never to happen, but it would be hilarious if it did. One would say it would even be "SATISFACTORY." (For those of you who have played the game, you KNOW what kind of pun I am making, and I am not sorry.)
