Yep... seen it... loved it... DEATH is the best!!!
^^
So, have some quick fanart before I work on my other projects again.

NOTES:
I thought that a "Sin City" (Frank Miller) style was perfect for this character.
Also, I was struggling with myself whether I should draw two or one sickle... but then I remembered the words of my best friend and he always claims that asymmetrical designs are usually more interesting and intense. He's right!
And in the end it looks as if DEATH is presenting his blade to PUSS... that was a cool scene from the movie after all!
Oh... and drawing a wolf is getting out of my "comfort zone" indeed!
1920 x 1080 pixels - your desktop will love it!

Yeah... a few weeks back I've searched this page for this character... and found plenty of rather "typical" fanart. That's all fine and OK... but I love this character for being serious and I like how he does NOT fool around. ^^
This drawing here wasn't very complex and it's rather a "quicky"... BUT I'm happy that you like it that much!
THANKS!

Thank you very much!!!!
As a matter of fact... some people might say the lines are a bit too clean. I mean... it would also look great with rushed, unclean, quick and chaotic lines... maybe this would even add more dynamic and character.
But... I'm a sucker for clean lines!
XD
My lines are usually sharp and aim to look perfect. This is me.
And I'm glad you appreciate it.

AH, so the Death Wolf character is what caught YOUR eye? Not the previous incarnation of Puss where he was an actual Bodybuilder? With the bouncing pecs and the ripped abdominals, the massive biceps and the upper back so engorged with muscle it looked like you could run miniature hot wheels trucks around it? THAT didn't pique your interest? Tsk tsk, Master Cynrik!
Though yes, the wolf character represents the "Howling Wolf Of Oblivion", or the prospect of an inescapable death. The red eyes were a perfect touch, the 'neon noir' art style of his appearance was pretty cool to watch unfold.
Yeah, as Neakal said already, he did look like a character out of a furry 'sin city' atmosphere. Hah, the fight scenes were killer, you don't see too many fighters with dual hand scythes.

The thing is... Puss was nice but Death was even more interesting and fun.
And somehow Puss with muscles was more of a gag to me than something serious... ^^" He looked cool and funny, yes, but it didn't fit to the original design. I'd compare it to
... well, like if we had a buff Sponge Bob! That also looks weird and doesn't fit to the original design.
But Death stole the show to me and I loved him.
^^
Fun fact:
You told me about the movie and I saw it a day later.
XD

HAHA!! That was literally the question I was just about to ask you. The timing of your Puss In Boots 2 artwork was so coincidental I thought something had to be going on.
"So did that buff pec bouncing Puss get you all excited to see the movie?"
It seems I have my answer lol. Though yes, Death was a very dynamic force as a character. His design was so evil and gritty, very scary indeed.
The guy who did the English voice acting for the main villain is John Mulaney who is a very famous stand up comedian in the USA, so that was also a nice surprise.
