From back when you could actually repair a television... I do remember my father in 1969 trying to replace a tube on the Black and White set we had. Was unplugged for a few days. Dad used a screwdriver to try and get a tube out - ran afoul of a large Capacitor that had a charge. One loud ZZZAAAP and smell of ozone and watching dad fly across the room.... I yelled for Mom.

From the simple sight of this kit, Triple M, I think I can safely assume it's to fix your own trains.

But would you use it to help fix someone else's train sets if the need arose? o.o

He can, and does, fix engines and cars belonging to others.

In fact, I just finished overhauling a couple of 77 year old Lionel locos belonging to a chum of mine. :)

That's a cool thing for you to do that for them, Triple M. =)

Truth is, I'd be too clumsy and awkward with tools like that if I had model trains that broke. Yours would be much steadier hands that I could trust to have trains like that fixed. X-)

It's a matter of experience. I've been working on Lionels for most of my life... :D
