Before Link being a giant balloon the Gerudo guard told to her (him) the spell is testing if the stranger is a female or a male. Males are banned from the Gerudo land. If the stranger doesn't deflate without the feet tickling it's a woman. If deflates it's a male intruder. Looks like Link has to run away after his deflation.
