Wondered that myself. Maybe stronger/sharper teeth? Selective breeding for certain traits is something the Matriarchs practice and Kattajak is the enclaves current Hunter Patriarch.

Hello, OOPsgang! I'm here to remind you once again that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
OOPs closed out last month at 36th place and about 1060 votes, the highest ranking it's reached yet. It's currently at 462 votes and 53rd place. The top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 20,000 votes.

You know, I like the disparity between the second panel, and the last one. She seems so very happy that they are back, or more likely that one of them is back. Then the last panel, where she looks like a puppy expecting to be beaten. It was also a very quick shift, and, interesting that she waited tell after the boys left, leaving her with Kat. Also notice his ears, the swept back and down, and expression. I would have to guess this is something they do often enough that they have practiced droping into thoes poses. Zelly taking the subservient, submissive posture, to hide what she really is, not because she feels that way, and Kat seems to be serving as a foil, or even training her how to fake things.
