Ya gotta be careful with trombone slides at a minstrel show. I'm just sayin'.

Actually, he's a "Semi-Conductor." Anhh Ah! I must confess I drew up the gag after remember seeing a similar stunt performed at a traveling circus as a child. The Trombonist ended up hitting others with his slide or interrupting the other performers no matter where he was placed.
Yeah. The good Major forgot to point out that the scene takes place in the late 1930s, and I was trying to make the anthropomorphicals look more like animated cartoon characters from that era. Traveling Minstrel shows were kind of like the "News and entertainment" TV shows of their time, reflecting the current events, and politics of the time, with added outrageous characters, odd humor and ribald jokes.
It looks good really. My earlier comment is more of a possible caution as there are some persons who find such things highly offensive. I don't find this offensive but rather enjoyable. But I have a thick skin to go along with my large frame. I've had to develop it and let a lot of crap slide and decide for myself it wasn't worth responding to or starting a flame war over. But others are more sensitive than I.
I try to give honest critique with the intention of pointing out potential problems that the artist may not be aware of, since I have had to deal with those less thick skinned as I, or where improvements might be made. This piece is neat; whimsical and very amusing. I see what you are trying to do and applaud your efforts.
