as someone who made a prediction about orochimaru from natruto being a redeemed character as early as season 2 i second your theroy about Zeska....we have a yinglet with a name who is MIA... could be world building or could be a another reason why this dude was lowket likeing kass so much.... you remind me of my missing wild wife
I really appreciate when yinglets demonstrate such deep emotional complexity and intelligence rather than one-dimensional silly behavior all the time, these are my favorite moments~
Though I am well aware of the existence of both groups is due to the inconsistency of quality and availability for yinglet education >v<

So I'm curious, this sort of charming father and daughter chat. Culturally this is 'normal' for Yinglets yes?
There isn't any special attention given to who the fathers are outside of keeping the gene pool suitably spread out but interactions like this are of no ones concern?
Mostly I'm just wondering if the stricter Yinglets from the larger conclaves have any issues with it?
Probably just overthinking it again. Lovely page. ^^ Delightful pair. Hope they live long happy lives with lots of clams. :D

Hi, fellow OOPsers! I'm here to remind you once again that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
OOPs closed out last month at 36th place and about 1060 votes, the highest ranking it's reached yet. It's currently at 926 votes and 44th place. The top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 20,000 votes. Last hour and a half to vote, let's goooooo!
Vote early, vote often! Help OOPs get noticed!

Actually, back in the days of Arpanet, it was mostly for making itself better, with government labs and university professors being the members. But then university students got into the game and Rule 34 went into effect (one of the first sites about yinglets I visited back when I first learned about them a couple years ago turned out not only to be porn, but it tried to load malware into my machine).
In context. This kinda explains why Kattajak likes Kass (beyond the tits XD).
Kass takes no shit from anyone, gender roles be damned, and I have a feeling Kattajak would love that same level of freedom for Zally here if he could give her it without causing Vizlet a massive headache, especially with Narklet lurking around.

If I recall correctly Zeska by your own words is, an ornery female yinglet who heads a small group of yinglet bandits. I assume that Zeska and this Zeska are one and the same. I am also assuming Zeska is Zally's mother.
I kinda hope Kassie meets these bandits later. And gives them a piece of her mind. Or at least we get to meet them.

When those older than you have had to fight the fights they've had to try to keep you from fighting, and they see you taking 'unnecessary' risks, it worries them.
I love how in any other media, I'd scream misogyny, but here it's clearly an act of love and protection. Awareness. But it's still not quite right.
I'm amazed by your nuanced writing.

Kattajak is there worrying that his daughter is not girly enough...
Then you have Kass, who's pretty much the Yinglet equivalent of a girl who'd just watch a rugby match with her male friends, down a tall can of beer in a single gulp, crush it against her forehead and let out a burp so loud it would make every window in the vicinity rattle.

oh!!! so the gone ying-lady /ran/ away!! i didn't expect that one - extremely daring, and I'm sure scandalous for how important and bound to their enclaves the girls are supposed to be!! I'd definitely be interested to hear more about THAT story. Wonder if it's part of why the leaders have such a close eye on vizlet now
also, extremely cute moment!! I love these two. I always have a soft spot for the wild girls

Hm. I always wondered if the parents of the young lings even bother being attached to their kids since they hatch them together in a single room. I'm not sure if it were ever mentioned, but I would love to see a page or something explaining on the relations between parent and kid within the enclave because for my D&D yinglet character, I play him off that he and his parents are close, but always thought in canon parents just pop out eggs, and almost hardly think about em.
Hmmm... You know, after looking back at the previous strips and further, One can see that they were just mock fighting from the beginning, and not engaging in any kind of serious bout of spur of the moment sparring at all. In #19 Zally is shown to fold like a house of cards when faced with a possible legitimate danger, utterly caving into a hysterical mess instead of flipping on that inner switch and activating that warrioress skillset and *SNAP!* being ready to deal with the situation as martial training would dictate for one to do.
It only now occurs to me the possible incest that may or may not go on in enclaves.
Patriarchs possess a particular set of skills; obviously, a skill is not a gene but if they have a greater mental capacity to learn or teach oneself these things, then of course that's something they'd want in their future generations. But if they're also the ones breeding new females, then you can see why incest could become a thing.
Now, for all I know the yinglets don't care about that stuff. I mean, do they keep track of who birthed who? They could be fekking each others' brothers and sisters and be none the wiser. Unless, in page #82, that's part of what Vizlet was writing down. I don't know, man.
