Ooooh I am so excited to be posting this one :D This originally started by me telling Catling about an idea I had to get a mostly-white themed commissioned that really accented Penelope's natural colors, mentioning that I was picturing her in an all white outfit and mentioned an aside about maybe even having her in a coffin holding flowers or something, and as USUAL when chatting with Catling about art it kind of turned into something amazing and beautiful after she offered some of her own ideas for the scenario ;_;
In the end we got this beautiful piece of a very new vampire just waking up, surrounded by a bunch of cute plushies and soft fabrics, a beautiful display of flowers, all with a nice convenient bottle of...strangely irresistible delicious red juice! We had decided to go with a limited palette approach to this one and it came together and was done pretty quickly!
Catling injected a lot of her own ideas and story into this and we loved it so much it turned into its own AU, we've been talking about it a fair bit since this one was done but gosh even the quote she wrote for this just gets me ;_; "You were so beloved from the first glance, and for the rest of our eternal nights, I will be thankful that I could save you."
The gist of this piece is that Penelope knows a vampire, whether or not she realizes they're a vampire is beside the point, and rather unexpectedly falls ill along the way. Her condition worsens and worsens over time, to the point where she is on her way out...but the vampire is not about to let someone they've come to cherish slip away right before their eyes, so they employ the only "cure" they know of.
UGH Catling gets it, she gets ME! So far she's not suggested a single thing that I dislike, and I am all for seeing what's to come next :D So far Catling has done a lot of the storytelling here for this scenario, but I hope to get plenty more and show you all more of this AU we cooked up.
I just really love how gentle this scene is, despite the fresh bite marks and coffin. All the soft plushies, the fancy fabric, pillows, the lightweight PJ's, and gosh how her hair is strewn about. Catling really loves giving Penelope long beautiful hair and I'm honestly all for it :3 ALSO TUM! I always thought belly buttons are the cutest little things, I love it when people include those when applicable :D
Do vampires count as "alive" to you? I know in most forms of media they're considered undead, but I've always kind of wondered what that really means in relation to them. They've always felt like they're mostly living, they just need to "borrow" blood to keep themselves going! I suppose they can be quite powerful, which is a bit different than your typical human needing blood transfusions every now and again :x

Aaa they is something indeed that works with Penelope's sweet and pure design that works as a vampire (not to mention the eyes >v>). And like the story there too, a real spot of questionable decisions force upon a such a sweet little thing~
Oh with uploading stuff to a gallery, you can always group them in folders if you got different themes going on.

There's definitely some existing overlap, she already burns in the sun for instance so that won't be a hard adjustment.
