Well, now it was time to get out and clean up. She placed her hands down on the surface of the mud, to push herself up and forward. With all her strength, she struggled, but her arms just squished and sank into the spongy soil. All that effort, and all it did was push some mud around. It was wearing her out. And somehow, she was still sinking—her stomach sliding under, her navel almost vanishing into the cold squishy mud, feeling it hugging her tightly.
The mud squished under her paws—but there was a firm spot there, and to her surprise, she slowly wiggled her way out. She was dripping with the thick muck as her shorts were sliding out of the mud. Was she managing to win this one?
