Jin, Taun, and Siar are all DMFA canon clans. Fa'rana, Daryil, Kamei'sin, Ja'fell, and Jyraneth are all Tapewolf canon clans. If it helps, the Siar and Jin references are just Professor Fa'rana recounting an anecdote from DMFA days (see: Abel's Story). :3
The big players in this scene are Daryil, Fa'rana (split off Daryil), and Taun (warrior clan, viewing themselves as guardians of the 'cubi race). In trying to kidnap Daryil's direct child for blackmail purposes, Fa'rana's clan erroneously kidnapped Iliath Taun while she was on a video call with Taun. Who is a big warrior tri-wing and understandably NOT HAPPY with what happened.
Jeremiah is an ambassador from Taun's clan sent to try and solve the conflict between his clan elders and Fa'rana clan, whether by blood or coin. Hopefully that helps some?

Wow. The Professor is so far gone down the 'cubi supremacy rabbit hole that he can't possibly think that Taun might have a problem with something the Fa'rana clan is doing or has done... and he's forgotten that part of their self-appointed role as guardians of the 'cubi race is the fact that Taun has an extensive information network. And that someone trying to do what he suggests would end up with real Tauns breathing down their neck really fast. X3
Come to think of it, if Fa'rana and Lady Finch were thinking clearly and not in 'cubi "it seemed like a good idea at the time" mode, isn't there a quick solution for their doubts? They want good relations with Taun's clan, and it's fairly large, so they should have a Taun contact or two. Get in touch with them, say "hey we have someone here who claims to be from you guys, talking about beheading; did you dispatch to us? Is this on the level? Is the paperwork filed? We don't want somebody sullying your good name or acting as a rogue agent here, or have someone accepting bribes instead of doing their job, after all."
Johan seems to be Fa'rana's paperwork guy, get him on the horn! Though, given everything lately, he's probably got his claws full too... x3;;; They gotta hire more PR folks!

While that would be sensible, Fa'Rana clan is extremely secretive and paranoid, with a secret base under Grunmore and various evil plans that would get them in a lot of trouble ( see ch18 p10 - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/25702022/ ) so they're not exactly proactive about talking to other clans.
