Lookin good! Using a modified avian headbase is smart. I'd like to eventually try making a suit at least once, but I'm too scared to approach it haha. My dad does a lot of fiberglass work so I've thought about sculpting a base.

Is this a particular character of yours, or just the general 1998 Skunk? Think you'll add a mohawk, or are you goin bald?

if you want to get into fursuit making, i highly recommend binging youtube tutorials like those from skyehighstudios and neffertity! thats how i learned. i also almost always do my foam sculpting from a pattern, im not confident enough in my pattern drafting skills to just free form a character just yet. i love the patterns i've gotten from TheManicMacaw, i haven't posted any picture yet, but my secondary sona Yukifox was built on their fox headbase pattern, and im loving this avian pattern too. very toony and cute and simple to modify once you kind of figure out what you're doing. either way, if youre crafty and enjoy the satisfaction of finishing a huge project, i highly recommend suit making! its a high barrier to entry with the cost, but theres nothing quite like it imo. <3<3<3

just a 1998 skunk! this is going to be a premade/adoptable thats going on dealers den once im finished with it. i already have some hand paws and a nub tail made to go with it, so Skunky over here just needs their neck and finishing touches and theyre ready for a new home! i do have a little mane pattern im refining so they will have a super cute lil mohawk eventually, but i need to order more fur before i can finish the mane and neck ;--;
