Despite its westerly positioning on the Old World, the Union of Latrano has a very important role in regional politics as one of the great military powers of the 5th Scourge period. The backbone of its military might lies in the hands of its capable and indomitable Fusiliers, its riflemen. Supported by immensely large tanks (sometimes called "angry metal houses") and groaning fleets of airborne bombers which flatten the enemy with great hailstorms of ordinance, the humble Fusilier, with his unmistakable polished-steel helmet is an effective, if a bit anachronistic, soldier.
