Nothing had been the same since the ritual. Once a myth, a fantasy, a legend, he was now living proof that the tales of dragons were true. A prophecy foretold their return, but what happened on that fateful night was only the beginning. It was now his responsibility to wield a power which seemed too much to bear. However, the young man would not be alone on this journey. It was the duty of those who swore their allegiance to The Legion that would guide him down the path of righteousness. If they failed on their endeavor, he would become that which devoured the world.
From waking up in a cave with a foreign body to a voyage across the sea, his adventure took him many places. However, the modern world was not equipped for the truth, therefore he traveled under the dark of night. After several days of travel, the dragon found himself at the heart of The Legion. Upon his arrival, he met a greeting party accompanied by one of the order's leaders, a powerful mage. The mage was tasked with teaching the beast to regulate the magic radiating from within himself. The dragon learned how to release the energy surging inside him, which caused him to return to him human form. Despite his efforts and taking a step in the right direction, the knowledge he required to wield this newfound power illuded him.
After the young man learned everything he could from the mage, he was instructed to seek mentorship from the scholar within The Lost Archive. The mage described how to find said structure, but actually locating it would be left to the young man's intuition. Luckily, the same magic he possessed was that which crafted the building. The young man departed on his adventure, which led him deep into a far away forest. For days he followed the mage's directions, but he felt like he was traveling in circles. The young man realized that some magical force must have prevented discovery of the archive. He then understood why the mage was vague with his instructions and understood the meaning of, "In order to find what is lost, you must first become lost." The Lost Archive did not want to be found.
Rather than trying to keep track of his steps, he decided to mindlessly wander through the trees. No more maps, no more navigation, instead he would follow his senses. Doing so caused the young man to experience subtle fluctuations in the magic that stirred inside him. It seemed as if that which he sought was pulsing like a beacon, beckoning and drawing him in. Eventually the sight of a large, moss covered building appeared between the trees. Despite its ominous appearance, the young man felt compelled to enter the structure. Without further hesitation, he took a deep breath and opened the door.
As the door creaked open, the young man knew his element of surpise was blown. Despite the outwards appearance of an abbandoned ruin, the interior of the building was well maintained. The young man looked around before nervously asking, "Hello?" But after hearing nothing other than his voice echo off the walls, he began to explore the interior. Nothing had jumped out trying to kill him thus far, so he allowed himself to relax slightly. Now that he was calm, he was able to focus on his senses once again. The Archive was calling for him, and the more he walked through the halls of the labyrinth, the more he felt he knew where to go. After a maze of twists and turns, the source of energy led him to an ordinary looking door. However, the intense power radiating from behind it was unmistakable.
The young man took in a deep breath before twisting the knob and opening the door. As he stepped into the room, the door slammed shut behind him. Instinctually, he turned around and tried to open the door, but he was trapped. The young man let loose a sigh before turning around and observing the room. He had certainly discovered the lost archive, but was he too late? Every book shelf in the room was empty and it seemed as if someone stole every piece of literature in the archive. Everything except for a large tome that lay atop a pedestal in the center of the room. The young man approached the moonlight soaked pedestal and sifted through the pages of the book before pausing in shock. What was the mage trying to accomplish sending him here? Every single page was empty.
Another sigh passed through the young man's nostrils as he was disappointed by the outcome of his adventure. But perhaps he was getting ahead of himself... The intensity of the magical energy made it apparent he was at the epicenter of the source. There was something special about this book, he just needed to figure out why it was so important. The young man looked at the pages of the tome and focused on the energy it emitted. Surprise washed over his face as glowing red letters appeared on the page. The words were written in an unknown language, but there was an odd sense of familiarity to them. He tried to figure out why he could recognize the words, and it did not take him long to realize this was the same language that was spoken during the ritual.
The young man slowly sounded out the words as they appeared, "Cretess Nacton Inamer Dihnde Rovefer..." After he spoke the words, the room around him began to shake.
Suddenly, a surge of energy from the tome channeled into the young man, which caused him to jolt backwards. His entire body began to burn as a rather familiar sensation returned. He knew this could only be one thing, and with the anticipation of a transformation, he began removing his clothing. However, the young man fumbled and stumbled to the ground as the room around him began to spin. Upon impacting the ground, he fell unconscious and drifted into the darkness. It was then a vision of the creation of the archive appeared. The shelves were once bountiful with literature until one day a hooded figure combined all books into one. The young man realized the person he witnessed was the scholar who he journeyed to meet, but there was something peculiar about him.
The humanoid creature he saw in the vision had patches of scales growing on the back of his hands. Unexpectedly, creature turned to him and glared with glowing red eyes. This was merely a memory, but it appeared the figure could sense his presence. Before he could determine what was happening, everything faded to black. A moment passed before the young man saw the place where he first transformed, the draconic altar. However, this was not his memory of the undercroft, but rather the scholar's. The vision showed a circle of dragons performing a ritual, which included the scholar himself. The young man watched as they sacrificed their draconic power and bound themselves to human forms as a measure to protect the world from their magic.
The details of the vision were vague, but the young man now understood how dragons upset the balance of the universe. Upon coming to this realization, the vision ended and his eyes snapped open to reveal his changing body. This transformation was unlike the last, it was much more aggressive. His wings and tail knocked over bookshelves as he grew much faster than expected. The sudden jarring force of his anatomy shifting caused a screech to escape his mouth.
The sound of the young man's distress was interrupted by a deep, raspy voice that echoed through the room, "Rethe s'i nylo eno kobo n'o t'shi tanpel chiwh tanocins r'ome d'wegelnok nhat het omet ni tronf fo ouy..." The mysterious voice spoke in the forbidden tongue.
"But you already knew that, did you not?" The voice continued, which was accompanied by the sound of footsteps getting closer. "The only difference being this knowledge is forbidden, which is why the book merely shows you what you need to know... Or rather, what I need to know. The Legion may have sent you, but don't think for a moment you will not be tested. Sagarius rid this planet of your kind... our... kind... as we were not meant to be. No man nor beast shall wield such power... and it is my duty to protect the world from it. Though the prophecy states if you survive this trial I must pass the mantle onto you, for it is your responsibility to prevent the end of time. So tell me, Tesendecd fo Gassariu, are you worthy?" Finally, the hooded figure appeared as he descended the staircase attached to the upper level.
The young man tried to focus on the scholar's words, but the rapid changes to his body were far too intense. The overwhelmed dragon let loose a prolonged roar as fire brewing in his chest marked the conclusion of his transformation. His fatigued muscles caused his large, newly changed body to slam against the ground. With the exhaustion settling in, the dragon could barely keep his eyes opened as he watched the scholar approach him.
The dragon fell asleep as the scholar placed his hand on the beast's snout, "Onos uoy lil'w wokn lal."
I'd like to thank everyone who gave their feedback during the creation of this drawing. My goal with this project was to push past the limits of what I thought I was capable of, and in many ways I surprised myself. I faced many frustrations with this drawing, and the total time procreate tracked was 53 hours. In a lot of areas I still feel like I fell short, but I suppose that's the never-ending curse artists face. However, I did learn a lot from this project and I'm excited to see how I can apply that moving forward.
As the story references to, this is a follow up to Fate, which is part of a story I've been developing for years. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever write the story outright, but these stories are a shortened glimpse of it. Fate was also my first project when I got my iPad just over a year ago, so it's cool to see how much I've progressed since then.
There's also a free sketch up for grabs that is hidden in this upload. It has multiple parts and I'll give hints for those willing to play along. Good luck everyone :P
Feedback is appreciated, as always! :)

Seems kinda biased because the Bible isn't the only holy book out there, but I digress.
BTW: I was under the impression you'd share another sketch relating to (*this*) art when we'd solve it, not like, a puzzle raffle lol.
But yeah that was fun, got people engaged and got me thinking my noggin *real* hard and totally failing to solve the puzzles lol.

Well, someone else also deciphered the annagrams, And I sure tried a lot of tinkering with them, to no avail though. tried searching into the name of the picture without result, the book on the ground as well is only gibberish as far as I can tell. Even searching around in your other uploads about book didn't bare much fruit. The mystery remains...
from what I understand:
This human would be the descendant of Sagarius the one who imprisoned the magic and killed the dragons however I think it is more complex than that. The dragons sacrificed their magic in a ritual by bonding with humans and locked it away in a tome. this tome would be the key to freeing the dragons locked in a humanoid body again (through Ritual).
Sagarius did not seem like a killer but the guardian in charge of surviving as these brothers forgot him forced to hide and create a unique spell to hide forever the tome to awaken the dragons and understand more knowledge than the book of the archive lost. In order to further hide his knowledge, he also performed the ritual to bond with a human and forgot his knowledge to be lost forever. No longer able to hide his ritual, he is the only one who can be re-summoned, his magic not being locked. The coven consisted of humans being linked to dragons seeks to awaken their inner being and for this the only way and to wake up Sagarius so that he recovers his knowledge (probably hidden in the lost archive) to unlock the last tome the one hidden in a four-dimensional tetrahedron with the most knowledge, capable of releasing the dragons hidden in humans and bringing back dragon magic

Sagarius discovered the of the origin of dragons and learned they weren’t supposed to exist. It then became his goal to restore balance to the world by removing dragons from the picture. For those who wished to live, they were to sacrifice their draconic forms. For those who refused, a war broke out. Some would rather die a dragon than let go of their power. In the end, Sagarius was successful, but a power as strong as a dragon’s could not be fully destroyed. This meant the return of dragons was inevitable, and it took a group like the ancient witches to figure it out.
Overall, the entire war and everything was a bit over the top, but Sagarius had knowledge that others did not. He understood it was necessary to rid the planet of dragons because of their destructive nature. But the source of that knowledge is what caused him to take such extreme measures.
