After 18 long years it's finally time for me to go. But, it was nice of you to come and say goodbye.
I wonder who you are, and how you found out about my art? Maybe you were there when I was first active on Oekaki boards, or when I drew my first comic, or when I first started streaming, or when I made my first Flash game. Maybe you started coming to my streams later on, or left nice comments. Or maybe we didn't interact at all because you're quite shy, or because you hadn't found my art yet.
That's okay, it doesn't matter when we met because you are very special to me and I'll miss you all very much.
Please don't forget about me. I promise I won't forget about you.

I first saw some of your ancient art back when it wasn't so ancient -- a Sandslash and Sandshrew come to mind specifically, hahah l3 And since then you have continually provided lovely and inspirational things for countless people, myself very much included!!
I'll look forward to seeing your continued adventures everywhere else, because for this 18 years they have been a continual fixture. It's sometimes funny to think about how many good things came about in our lives as a result of furry porn, hahah. l3

I think I saw your art on AGNPH first? And then the natural course of finding and following you here. And from here? Well, there's other places I'll follow you.
I know we weren't always on the best of terms (that's on me, I was being way too pushy and didn't let off) but I do hope that we will remain on positive footing into the future

I have the distinct memory of this particular piece being the very first thing to really spark my interest and taste for furry porn l3
It is a shame many of us must part ways with this site after all these years, but I suppose all good things must come to an end.
Well... all pretty okay things at least!!

I found you through Monster mind on e621 back when flash was still a thing. And I really had a lot of fun with the puzzles. Almost more than with the actual nsfw part. It was a real challenge and it was one of those games where you get in for the plot, stay for the gameplay to me... Which reminds me. I need to download it again and play some on the desktop flashplayer.
I think I first saw your art on agnph. After I discovered furaffinity and lied about my age, I moved over here. That was in Autumm of 2010. I switched accounts two times since that.
Our biggest interaction was maybe me commissioning this piece https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42469305/ and quoting your art with it.
I think I downloaded your gallery 3 times so far. One time as part of a siterip of agnph, one time in 2011 here on Fa and yesterday as part of "saving everything from everyone I watch".
I also really love your quilava sauna comic!
See you on a different platform! I will follow you somewhere after the dust has settled here and I am done making decisions about existing and future accounts.

So sorry to see you go, I remember finding and falling in love with your art after you posted that fun sexy puzzle game! That was so much fun, silly Rhydon! (And smelly Grimer with his Lucario cut-out!) <3
I am most certainly going to try and keep following you wherever you go! Just recently I was on one of your streams and you added both Hitmonchan and Scrafty to your pic, two of my favorites that I love to see get attention, and I adore that while you'll draw the popular mons, you'll sometimes draw off-the-wall mons as well! Plus I gotta stick around when you eventually post that pic!
I'm sorry to see FA is just no longer friendly towards your art, it's a real shame! Please don't stop being you and drawing!

I usually don't interact but let me tell you that you have been very influential in my tastes and a big inspiration to me over the years. I have probably known about you for almost 10 years at this point. I think I first saw reposts on r34, which eventually led me to the source. The fact that you have been doing this for so long and the sheer amount of content you have produced is truly astonishing and very inspirational. Even if I don't interact I will surely continue to support you and enjoy what you put out there, no matter which website it is on.
Thank you Argon Vile!
Thank you Argon Vile!
I remember seeing your art waaaaay back in the day when I first joined the fandom. A lot has changed since then, but it was neat when I met you and found out you were a pretty cool dude in addition to being a fun artist of lewd things. I know we don't chat too much, but I've always enjoyed interacting with you, even when my social awkwardness got in the way of things. You'll be very much missed here.
It's really a shame that things turned out like this for this site...
They killed at least 50% of their total content with their stupid new rules, under the mask of "making the site more inclusive" they literally excluded everyone with an art style they doesn't like, making one of the best and most recognizable artists in this site to leave, as is Argon Vile.
And they are just fools if they don't realize the big loss for them that is letting Argon go...
I do follow you on IB so I won't forget you, but I hope your FA-exclusive followers don't either.

I can't believe they are going scorched earth tactics on basically half the site. SFW content is unaffected, as I understand. NSFW content is more or less done on this site. I foresee a mass exodus because of this policy change. I couldn't begin to list all the people I follow that this change impacts. I loved seeing your art and hate to see you leave. I fear the same fate awaits many other great artists. I'm unsure if this change affects writers of NSFW content.
I don't actually remember how I found your art. I'm a fan of certain pokemon. Your art is great. I love the themes you come up with and the characters you craft. I mostly remember that we once roomed together at FC. We didn't hang out much; we had our own circles but you seemed very chill. I'll definitely make sure I'm following you off of FA.
i think I first really noticed you when i found the brick break game. and back then you did the occasional stream with random pickers to see who gets to give you the next idea. eally enjoyed the comics you came out with. you put a lot of love into your games. I am sad to see you have to leave FA but will try to kepp up with your new posts wherever they may be.
Your comics were some of my first introductions to furry stuff! Honestly, been following your work for as long as I can possibly remember. We've chatted a few times and you've always been an absolute joy to talk to. I'll keep following ya wherever life takes you, and keep on supporting! I'll always be lurking just outside of FoV, just know you're great, and I hope things look up soon.
I can't recall what first drew me to ya, but I can guarantee popping in on your 12-hour streams years ago was some of the most fun I had while on here. So many fun adventures to be a part of, especially seeing the art style drastically evolve and the creation of those flash games. It's been quite the journey, and I certainly won't forget you. See ya around in new places!
Man, this sucks.
I found you many years ago incidentally, and been following ever since. Hell I even got a commission from you once!
I loved both your ideas and sense of humor with pics. You put out a lot of funny and interesting pics, and that kept me watching you. Plus you're a friendly person in general!
I'll try and watch you wherever you post. It sucks so much that FA basically doomed you like this.

Meant to reply to this much sooner, but time got away from me. Darn you life.
Feels weird, even if I am still keeping up with you elsewhere, it all leads to just being...quite a strange feeling with how things are going for this site.
But the focus here was me just talking, it's like...haa...your art was actually some of the first art I was introduced to within the fandom. Since then, I've followed you for a very long time as I worked through exploring the various things I like and don't like, expanding my own list of characters among other things...
I will admit, through that growth and understanding, there was a brief window where I found myself having lost interest in your art, unfollowing and moving elsewhere as I felt it wasn't really what I was interested in anymore. However, the more I explored, the more I thought, and the more commissioned, I began thinking..."maybe I always did have an interest" and ironically...monster mind was what made me realize that I think what gets me attached is your characters and how they are written and portrayed. I enjoyed it soo much, so very much, that I ended up coming back. I can't say everything is my cup of tea, (when is it ever for anyone right?) but it's like...nah I still really enjoy your artwork and content, and I want to continue being here to see it grow and develop. I really need to commission you, something I've put off for way longer than I care to admit. Just always scared about asking.
Anyway, I still follow on itaku now, and if you continue to post there, IB as well, I'm making those my main hubs now. Perhaps at some point I will work up that courage, but in the meantime, I'll be happy to keep up with you elsewhere. Bye FA indeed. And thanks for the memories~

18 years!!! The time really flies...it feels like just yesterday I was...very confused and desperately searching for the other...131 pages of the Salamance/SceptileAdventure book...
It's sad, really. An end of an era. You were really the whole reason I made an FA. I found the site through your art and found out I could see all your new stuff here asap! Gosh when even was that though?? For some reason I want to say it was back waaay at the Pokemon Camping Trip series you did...? But that can't be right... Maybe a little after? That Salamance/Sceptile stuff really comes to mind...but I'm not too sure.
What I do know for sure is that it's been a good run. I have very fond memories of being excited to always see your new uploads. Hoping what you uploaded might have some of my favorite characters of yours, or being excited to see the next page in your comics. Like the traditional ones with those cool pens you got! Or the Croconaw/Charmeleon comic with Banette! (which may or may not have awoken a denial fetish inside me. But I'm not ready to confront that possibility).
And of course Monster Mind! So many wonderful characters, forever in my heart. To this day I'm still astonished by the writing. The characters feel alive and, it's weird to say, but I honest to God want to consider some friends, hahaha. I can't say I commission art of other peoples' characters together quite like I do with Heracross and Rhydon!
But what always has made me happiest, was seeing you reply to every comment people leave. It's something I've always looked up to. It was...and still is!...the highlight of my day. Even if it's just a heart or something!
I follow you lots of other places so, it's not goodbye. Not really. But...it still feels like it in a lot of ways. So it feels appropriate to say...
Goodbye FurAffinity argon_vile, and thank you for the memories.

Goodbye FurAffinity argon_vile, and thank you for the memories.
I found you firstly trough monster Mind! I still play that game from time to time. I thank you for all the fun artworks over the years. I'll definitely follow you on Inkbunny and check out the other platforms. Have been looking for a furaffinity alternative since the stupid announcement.
It's certainly disheartening to hear, but you have to do what's best for you. Well, at least this is only a goodbye, and not a farewell. So I guess there is no reason to be too melodramatic. XD Still, what a shame it came to this. I remember when I first discovered your art. It was actually more than a decade ago, back when I was just starting to explore my sexuality, trying to find myself. I don't recall exactly where it was, but I think that one of the first works of yours I got to see was that old comic you made about the Pokémon gym. Dang, that was hot ! Then time passed by and I joined FA, without even knowing that you were frequenting the site too. Of course, chance made me come across your art again and, well, here we are. :3 Anyway, be assured that it was - and will always be - a pleasure to follow you. I still hope that things will improve and that we will one day be celebrating your triumphant return, but in the meanwhile, I wish you well. Take care. ^_^
Like many, I followed you for the r34, but stayed for the jokes, the comics, the wholesome comments, and the many headaches I had while playing Monster Mind. (They were good headaches)
So long, and thanks for all the porn! I'll keep a close eye on your art through other websites. Your creativity and the effort you put into your work makes you an inspiration to me. I'd be bummed out if the FA purge demotivated you in any way— please never stop creating! This world is a little bit better with the things you made in it <3

I'm not sure when I first saw your art, but it had to be a while back especially since you've been in the game for so long. I've only just recently met you in a mutual server and supported you as a mutual artist.
I wanna wish you the best of luck on all your other galleries and for the rest of everything life has in store
