i can't stand mma

i don't know if it's because it's a "real fight", but it's just so goddamned boring to watch (extremely fake / scripted fights like professional wrestling are all dramatic moves and taunts and shit)

all the same, mma is all efficiency, if shred gets a single hit in and knows a damn thing about how to connect that hit, it's the only one he will need

I tried to watch a UFC match once or twice and both times, I was REALLY bored. Most fights rely on "test" swings (the odd jab or kick to see if they can reach), then they try for tons of grapples which are simply not all that interesting.

I honestly re-dubbed "UFC" as "Uncomfortable, Friendly Cuddling" for such a reason.

I would much prefer watching a martial arts tournament involving Karate or better yet Taekwon Do (those people do some really amazing things sometimes)... or boxing. They just seem more fast-paced and interesting to watch.

taekwondo is easily my favorite martial art, if i had to pick one to learn it'd be that

I'm seeing this one end like the fight in 'They Live' between Roddy Piper's character and the other big guy: They pound the dirt out of each other for about a half hour, then stagger together into a diner (or, more likely for Shred, a bar) looking like they've each been hit by a truck.
