OK, but there was one time in Singapore I needed a haircut, and the barber did it all with a straight razor, lifting a tuft or two with a brush and then whacking off the ends with a fast sweep of the blade. It worked quite well for my personal style, which tends toward the loose and shaggy anyway, and have to say the experience, though good, was also hair-raising.
