Here is page 30 from Across Thin Ice. In the wake of adding and shifting a couple of pages, all of the older pages and their corresponding page numbers are a little askew, and essentially meaningless! ;]
Over on the development blog, I've got a few photos of various stages of painting the page, plus a couple extra things. Also, over on my LiveStream channel, you can see the recorded sessions of painting this one, and several other pages.
Speaking of LiveStream, I am streaming painting another page from Across Thin Ice right now! ;]
(You're welcome to follow me on twitter @screwbald to know when I start streaming a non-spoiler page.)
The graphic novel, Across Thin Ice, is 75 or so pages of turn-of-the-20th-century arctic adventure, printed in full color from Sofawolf Press, a PG13 rating for bloody violence. More information over on www.nordguard.com

True, but you have to wonder...
One of the most basic things you learn when making detailed artwork, is to make it really big when you're making it, then resize it on the computer. That way, the detail is more a product of time than a surgion-like steadiness of hand.
(Not to say there aren't people who make tiny pictures.)

I use Arches 140 lbs Hot Press, which is actually cotton and stands up to a lot of abuse. I also stretch my paper on boards with tape and staples after soaking it, which prevents it from wrinkling and buckling entirely, if done right. :]
Here's a video on stretching paper:

(As added precaution, I also staple the paper around the edges with a staple gun after it's been taped.)
