In fact, hyper normality and 'perfect' proportions and features to me are quite boring. I find the most beauty in people's flaws/ imperfections. Scars, misshapeness, asymmetry, different bodytypes...

I love this, her expression is very "fuck you" and the colors, as always, are delicious :) I'm really loving that slithery tongue, and as always, her pudge <3 I find a pudgy belly to be super sexy, being someone who adores wide hips, they just don't look right with a toned, skinny stomach imo.

I couldn't tell you the times I've been made to feel like Vera could be better if ___, or how many people feel the need to note me before de-watching me to tell me why they de-watched me, as if it's their way of telling me how to improve or like they think they're offering helpful advice for how I should change, when really they're trying to tell me all the things they hate about what I draw that make me happy to draw. Basically what I'm trying to say is, something you already know, which is not to pay attention to them and keep doing what you're doing :) I tend to take negativity and turn it into further fuel to drive me to continue doing what I enjoy. Guess it's the rebel in me ;D

Aw, thank you muchly! And yeah, I honestly think I would look really bizarre if I was thin because my frame is so wide. Despite being pudgy, my hips actually jut out quite a bit and are rather...pointy. IF I DIDN'T HAVE CHUB I'D BE DANGEROUS.

Yeah, if I remember right people bawww'd when you made her third eye "official" and were like "IT'S TOO WEIRD", ahaha :| But uh, I'm glad people being "squicked out" by your art has only worked in your benefit. And I know I like all the buggy and eyeball-y goodness |3 There are a million-and-one artists who draw beautiful things, and not enough who find beauty in "gross" things, in my opinion.

When I was younger I definitely fell into pressures to draw what was considered more "normal" but now it's like... "Okay, eff that, I'm drawing what makes me happy. And that's big teeth, reptiles, and drool >:C"

I can relate to having a not so run of the mill sexy character X3 I mean, not many people choose a gross hairy primate/bear monster to represent themselves. So ultra high five to you. btw, love the angle and expression of this. It's totally bad ass.

I think she's awesome. I think half the reason she's awesome is because she's obv. there for you and not for anyone else. I think characters that are vapid attempts at appeasing the art community lack depth and are generally p. boring. Monsters are always so different and original! There's nothing like her anywhere and that's wicked-cool. Also PUDGY CHICKS FTW~

I personally think she is perfect like many others have said. Dreadlocks,spiny teeths, and being a monster is awesome anyway. Also i think her chubbyness makes her even better because her body isn't some "perfect" hourglass with giant boobs.( Ihate how people always make their characters"perfect"). Characters are way effin better when more natural body shapes are used anyway. Last but not least she is a Monster and that just makes her all the more better I think. Monsters are some of the best types of characters ever aswell so. My character is a monster/dog so yeah can't resist the monsters. X3 Seeing as you don't know me though I'm probably freaking you out. ^^;

I agree with others in that I love Nemph's design, even when it has some mild changes, due to her uniqueness and the fact that it gives a glimpse to who you are too behind the character. :3 And as for the picture itself, I really like some of the "hard" angle lines you used, like on her ear and nosehorn etc. Its a really nice effect, and it had me staring a lot closer at the picture to really take a look at the lineart. *w*

I've always found Nemph to be appealing. I don't know how someone could judge her like that. All of her bright colours and monstery-ness is what makes her who she is. :P

Anyhow, I love this. That expression is so bad ass, and drool is a great. Being a monster person myself, anything with sharp pointy teefs and long slithery tongues are frickin' awesome. :P The texture adds a nice touch, too.

I don't think the design matters so much as the style you portray her with. Always kinda like a whisper in the background of the image stating who it is.
