Despite their ability to breathe it, fire is still very dangerous for dragons. Their scales' ability to resist heat doesn't last forever, and smoke inhalation is also a significant danger. Wildfires in particular also come with an extra danger, generating dangerous and unpredictable air currents that make it extremely difficult to fly above.

Akuna, here, had been searching for her son, Olyn, who had suddenly disappeared from their den. While searching, she had seen and smelled the wildfire from afar and was rushing to try and find Olyn, but the fire spread much more quickly than she anticipated as she ended up caught in it herself. Unfortunately, she'd have to abandon her search in order to save her own life, and to save the egg still in her den before the fire spread that far.
