Another chapter of this old ass story
---
A little while later, Firefox brought out the s'more stuff. Denali was about to throw the pizza box into the fire, when she suddenly jumped up. "Did you guys hear that?" She asked.
"No, what?" Firefox asked.
"There's something out there, rustling the leaves. Shhh, listen." Denali replied.
They listened.
Sure enough, there was a loud rustling near the trees in the dark forest behind them. Suddenly, it stoped. A little orange and white cat steped into the circle of light from the fire. He was a strange looking cat, with black paws, ears and tail, while every thing else was striped orange and white.
Fox tossed him a pizza crust. The cat scarfed it down like he had'nt eaten in days.
"He's gotta interestin' coat." Falco pointed out, staring at the cat.
"Yeah, who's ever seen an orange and white tabby with black paws?" Fox asked.
Everyone shrugged. Denali decided that the cat was friendly, and got up to pet it.
"Denali, don't! It might be rabid or somethin'!" Falco warned.
Denali ignored him, and vent down to stroke the creature.
"Welp, he ain't bitin' none of us. That's a good sign." Firefox said.
"Isn't." Denali corrected as she picked the cat up.
"That too." Firefox said as Denali held the kitty out in front of her.
"He looks kinda skinny." Fox pointed out.
"Aww, poor thing." Denali cooed. She lowered the cat into her arms, and cradled him like a baby.
"What should we call 'im?" Falco asked.
"How about…..Jinx? He looks mysterous and tricky." Denali replied.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, don't get too attached to him, Denali. Well wind up bringing him home." Firefox said.
"But, look at his wittle face." Denali held Jinx up.
"Oh, allright. But he sleeps with you tonight." Firefox told her.
Denali squeeled with delight.
(Everyone gave Jinx a few scraps, and he stayed with them all night by the fire.)
A little while later, Firefox picked up the abandon s'mores stuff. "S'mores anyone?" She asked.
The group got uox and grabed a poker. Soon, everyone was roasting marsh mallows over the fire.
Denali quickly finished hers, made a s'more; and helped everyone else with theirs. "it's a nice night out tonight." Denali commplemented.
"Oh yeah." Everyone agreed as they are their s'mores.
Once the s'mores had been eaten, mostly by Fox, they decided it was time for bed. The friends left the fire burning, since all that was left was a few embers, and walked back into the trailer. As promised, Jinx slept with Denali in her bed. Sleep came quickly to them, since they all had had a busy day.
Well, everyone exept Firefox. She lay awake, thinking of earlier that afternoon, when she made up with Fox. She could still feel the warmth and comfort of Fox's paw on her cheek…..
The thoughts of this, combined with the outdoorsy sounds coming from an open window, finally lulled Firefox to sleep.

Falco was the first to wake up. He got up, poured himself a bowl of Special K cereal, and went outside to eat it. Moments later, Firefox steped out.
"G' Mornin',." Said Falco.
"Mornin'g" Firefox repeated. She yawned, and sat next to Falco on the old glider swing to eat her own cereal.
Finally, Fox steped out of the trailer, followed closly by Denali, who was holding Jinx in her arms. Suddenly, Jinx leapt down, and ran under the camper.
"Wait! Jinx, where are you going?" Denali asked.
"Maybe he saw a mouse or something." Fox suggested.
That's when everybody realized why Jinx had ran. The cat came back out, a female cat trailing behind him. Denali had time to gasp before six little kittens bounced out behind their parents. "Awww!" Denali exclaimed.
"Looks like Jinx has a family." Falco chuckled at the little kittens triping over each other.
"Lemme guess, you wanna take them home too, huh?" Firefox asked.
"Yes, yes I do! Please?" Denali pleaded.
"Well, we can't just take Jinx away from his family. What the hey, let's take 'em." Firefox said.
Denali smiled, and then grouped the cats up to be named. Inside the trailer, Denali set the cats on her bed, while every one else crowded around her. Falco, Firefox, Fox, and Denali each named at least one cat. The mother was all white with a black and brown tail, face and spot on her back, who Denali called Marion. Falco named the ashy gray-black kitten Ash, Fox named the white kitty with a gold mask, "socks", "boots", and rings around it's tail, neck, and paws; Bling Bing, and Firefox named the red, orange, and yellow one Fyro. But there were three kittens left unnamed, so Denali let everyone else name another, since she had named both the parent cats.
Firefox called a cute little red-orange kitten Ember, Fox named a white one with a black dimond on its forehead and rings on its tail Oreo, and finally Falco named the last kitten, the one who was the runt. He was a soft ginger color, and had long, straight fur. Falco puzzeled over his name for a while. The other suggested names, but he turned them down. Finally, he had it.
"Let's call him….Crookshanks." Falco said as he stroked the kitten's soft fur.
"That's purrrrfect!" Denali giggled.
Every one laughed. After they played with the cats for a while, Firefox suggested they go swiming, since it was geting hot out.
Once everyone had changed into their swim wear, they got into the golf cart and Falco drove to the Clubhouse pool.
"It's so hot out." Denali pointed out as the heat of the sun beat down on all their backs.
"Tell me about it." Firefox agreed, fanning herself with her paw.
"Yeah. I heard it was supposed to reach ninty today." Fox said.
"Ugh. Least we got two pools around here!" Falco exclaimed as he pulled into the Clubhouse parking lot.
They all got out of the golf cart, and walked into the fenced-in pool area. Fox sunned on a deck chair, while Firefox, Denali and Falco jumped right in.
Every once in a while, Firefox checked to make sure Fox had put sunscreen on this time. The bottle had'nt moved an inch, so she decided to go up there. Firefox squeezed some sunscreen on her paws, and rubbed them together. Fox was breathing evenly, which clearly ment he was asleep. Firefox was'nt in the mood for throwing him off the chair, so she just started rubbing the sunscreen on Fox's stomach. Fox woke up the second she touched him, but did'nt push Firefox's paws away.
"I did'nt want you to get another sunburn because I did'nt bring the lotion with me." Firefox explained. q
"Oh, OK. Thanks." Fox said, secretly enjoying the moment.
Firefox finished up, and hopped back into the pool. She hung on to the edge of the pool for a second.
"Come on in, the waters great!" Denali exclaimed, smiling at Fox.
"Yeah. It's nice and cold." Falco agreed.
Fox did'nt budge, so Firefox lifted herself back out of the pool, and walked over to Fox. She pulled him to the edge of the pool, and pushed him in. Firefox laughed and jumped in right behind Fox.
Seconds later, Fox's head popped out of the water. Firefox swam under Fox, grabed his ankle, and pulled him down like a shark bringing down it's kill. Then, she shoved him up, and swam up to the surface next to him. But, alas, right as the four began having fun, the whistle blew to announce pool break. They all reluctantly hopped out of the pool, and headed over to the Clubhouse for possible intertainment with hundreds of brochures located inside.
After only a few minutes, Falco found two interesting brochures. He showed them to the others. "OK," Falco began. "The first one is this botanicle garden, with millions of cool plants from all over the world. And then, COSI, with the new Titanic Exhibit. It's only an hour away. We can drive down, today, check out the botanicle garden, stay at a hotel, see the Titanic Exhibit the very next day, then head back here and stay 'till Monday. Hows that sound?" He asked.
"I'm game." Firefox replied.
"I'm all for adventure!" Denali exclaimed.
"Let's do it." Fox said.
"Allrighty then. Let's swim for another hour, then head to the Franklin Conservetory, that awesome botanicle garden." Falco explained.
Just then, they saw the lifeguards return to their posts. Once the whistle blew again, Falco led the way back to the pool. The group of friends laughed, talked, swam and had fun in the sun (and the pool) for the next hour, untill it was pool break once again. They all piled into the golf cart, and went back to the trailer. On the way back, Fox sat in the back with Firefox, and Denali sat up front with Falco.
"Fox, you've barely been in the front seat." Firefox pointed out.
"That's OK, I don't want to be in the front anyway." Fox explained.
"You're going to sit in the front!" Firefox said with mock seriousness.
"No, I won't." Fox assured her.
"Yes, you will!" Firefox said.
This went on all the way back to the trailer. Firefox was still trying to convince Fox to sit in the front seat.
"Sorry to interupt the Firefox-Fox Talk Show, but let's get going!" Falco laughed, finally stoping them.
"Yeah. It was a nice episode of the Firefox-Fox Talk Show, though." Denali winked then giggled.
"Well, we'll watch some more of it later. But for now, let's pack up the truck." Falco said, as he got out of the golf cart.
They all ran around puting suitcases and bags in the truck, and then they locked up the trailer. Denali left the cats in the trailer, with plenty of food and water, since they'd only be gone for about a day. Once everyon wis in the truck, (Denali once again in the front) and began their new journey.
Soon enough, Firefox began to feel tired. She fell right asleep, unconsously resting her head on Fox's shoulder.
Fox secretly enjoyed this. He put his head on Firefox's and fell asleep, too.
Denali did'nt feel tired at all, so she stayed up and talked to Falco.
