This is looking really great. Did you render the backgrounds as well?

Yep, I cobbled together the background from some of my old work, arranged it behind the dragon, lit it then got a render with the dragon hidden. I then took it into a paint program and blurred the render to fake depth of field and hide the fact that it was all really low poly. Then i imported the doctored image back into the background and rendered the dragon on top. All of which makes it sound more complicated than it was. =OP
