So, the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series came out on PS4/PS5, back in the early spring. I immediately downloaded and went for the Platinum trophy on all 6 games. Got all of the platinums (finishing FF6, right before FF16 released and I got my copy). Needless to say, it's been a big year for Final Fantasy and I wanted to do something with the nostalgia. I really adore how this turned out!

Final Fantasy 6 has always been one of my favorites, ever since we knew it as FF3, back on the Super Nintendo. It's the first one I ever played. At the age of 4, I memorized how to beat the game, by watching my dad play it. Not only is this one of my favorites, in the series, but it's also one of my oldest video gaming memories. To insert my sona into it, in this way, really just feels right.
I chose monk as my class, because of my interest in Buddhism and eastern philosophies, as well as my 24 years of karate training (for those who don't know, monks are bare handed fighters, in the FF series). It seemed to fit, even though I identify more with Shadow and Celes, than I do with Sabin. Their battle styles don't really fit me as well as Sabin's does.

It seems our adventure has taken us to Kyoto though. I wonder what we're doing there...
