context: after sonic faces the I.M.P (blitzo, moxxie, millie) being the last confrontation where the imps have help from doctor eggman having an improved version of Metal Sonic that was useful for the demons in trying to face the Hedgehog for the last time and some of his friends and in turn steal the chaos emeralds at Eggman's request, which the imps would have double pay.

despite the fact that blitz's plans to finish his work is interrupted by shadow who teamed up with sonic and knuckles to face metal sonic and the same I.M.P but somehow they took advantage of the distraction to infiltrate sonic's small base and his friends and they manage to steal the chaos emeralds... only they took all 5 without realizing it then they continued facing off against the blue hedgehog and his team even though blitz couldn't kill sonic it was moxxie who was able to stop sonic with a dart tranquilizing and misleading others with a bazooka being shot by blitzo. in the end they flow opening the portal that takes them to the underworld along with metal sonic and taking sonic....

while they have sonic tied up in blitz's office, blitz himself uses the book of stolas to return to sonic's universe along with metal sonic and the emeralds that the doctor stole, the doctor gives them his double reward and also allows them to kill the hedgehog at his so blitz returns to his infernal universe but eggman realizes that the emeralds that blitz gave him were only 5 and not 7 furious he felt cheated and they will not get away with it since metal sonic was able to somehow scan that universe and from so the doctor will build a type of teleporter.


while the imps plan how to kill sonic, the blue hedgehog wakes up blitz shows his presentation as well as his employees after a few seconds sonic manages to escape from blitzo's office running at full speed throughout IMP City until he enters some strange tubes that kill him they lead to pentagram city, the hedgehog realizes that he is in the underworld but in another universe when he sees the different demons to be found, some give it importance even though he is a little confused and worried to find a way to return to mobius is taken with a hotel which catches his attention and he enters to find someone to help him in case they don't become hostile.
