Nellikai, Shepherd of Northeast Frigalsa
The Nifilum are the remnants of the second incarnation of intelligent life. More specifically, they're the amalgamated souls of the cult who brought about its end, to pave way for the third.
Nellikai belongs to the Nifilum clan tasked with /gently/ guiding Marrowans (happy cute innocent animal people) in the right direction, in case they mess up.
Despite his best efforts, the group of people he was supposed to watch over began to die out due to the errors of another. Driven by grief, he defied his programming to bestow power to a mortal directly, instructing her on precisely who to purge to prevent further tragedy.

Concept by me (there are still a lot of design quirks and infodump yet to be seen about this guy and his species in general)
