Satan Ant was the 40th Robot Kaiju used by the Zelans as the monster of the week in the 35th Episode of the Dino Mecha Gaiking Anime: "Farewell, Mound of Glory".

_Appearances and Abilities_
Satan Ant was giant robot Ant, sporting a red body with green legs and black neck and abdominal joint point; sporting yellow antennas and eyes, with white Mandibles.

Satan Ant spew a pollen like spray yellow Acidic substance which dissolve people in an instant and melted structures; like Kabotonker from Episodes 23 and 24, it could reassemble itself after giving the false impression of been destroy to its enemy. It also could increase in size, like Gokibuler from Ep.25, though a Laser beam was require for it. It also fired Red Laser beams from the eyes and was capable of flight.

Ep.35 marks the one time the General or Darius make no presence in the series, as well one of their Kaiju kills a child on screen.

_Story_
As Sanshiro desires to return to play in Baseball once more, after seeing his old team been defeated in a game, Satan Ant emerges in Rio de Janeiro and disintegrates a child and his mother, and grows to giant size from beams coming down from the sky; Days later, Sanshiro trains his old pitching arm when they get the called the monster is attacking a Soccer Stadium killing crowds of soccer spectators (wotdafuk was it doing during that time? Enjoying The Carnival?) and Daiku Maryu team moves out to face the new monster.

Satan Ant fires its Acid to the Daiku Maryu with no effect: the heroes respond with a Miracle Drill, ripping a leg off, then firing a Dragon Cutter, impaling it on the head. Finally, Big Horn is deploy and crushes the monster's neck, decapitating it. The heroes return home, and the Monster reactivates and reassembles itself and escapes.

Once back home, Sanshiro remembers his time in Pitching when he old coach, Namura comes back and after talking with Daimonji, allows Sanshiro to return to his Red Suns team – much to the concerns of the others, as Gaiking no one would pilot Gaiking though he promise to come back when require to deploy. The Doctor does this as returning the favor, as it was Namura who was in favored of Sanshiro to join the team when the owners were against it, as well, a level complacency had settle in as the Dark Horror Army had been inactive for some time, some even believing they had given up the idea of conquering Earth. Thus, Sanshiro is back with the Red Suns and his presence and Miracle Pitch forces a rivalry with the other players to home-in their talents – with Sanshiro back, the Team begins to win the next games.

In the Meantime, Daimonji and Sakon discovered the Giant Ant's acid fired on the ship was far less concentrated than what was used in Rio de Janeiro itself, realizing the move was an intentional and getting their Guard Down. Elsewhere, as the big game with the Giant approaches in 5 days, Sanshiro, after talking to Namura, decides to train Ohnishi – his replacement in the team – the Miracle Pitch – much to the latter's protest, as it took Sanshiro years to home in his skill.

As the day of the big game arrives, with everyone expecting Sanshiro to play, are surprise is Ohnishi taking the mound, Sanshiro having left been called as the Ant had been sighted and picked up by Skylar; after failing to stop the Jet from docking, Satan Ant begins to attack the Daiku Maryu with its acid, this time at full capacity and melting parts of the hull. After it been hit by a Laser Beam, the ship crashes into a crater and the Ant bombards it with its acid, to make matter worst, it had fallen into a sink hole and going under. Sanshiro launches and assemble Gaiking, to take the fight on the Monster.

Gaiking uses Counter cross, but this melted, and the Ant fire its beam at Gaiking, crashing into the crater and left trap with the Daiky Maryu. Sanshiro activated Face Open and unleashes Death Fire on the monster; then hits it with a Hydro Blazer and with Drop Kick, the monster falls into the crater when its Dissected with Iron Cutter – this time been dispose for Good. After emerging from the rubble of the blast, Pete is willing to take Sanshiro back to the game, but the latter rejects the favor, as their is no need – indeed his team is able to win the game when the last ball is captured by Field Player Tanaka; he, Ohnishi and Namura been cheered by the crowd in Glory. A somber Sanshiro congratulates his Coach; Daimonji explains he never intended to pitch himself, his wrist still unable to perform the Miracle Pitch and never will be , doing so with his Psychi Powers this entire time – he could full amateurs but not the pros like Ohnishi or Harimoto (the Giants batter), thus his time with Ohnishi was not of training, but entrusting him with the Miracle Pitch.

Then by the Doctor's request, Pete flies the Daiku Maryu over the now empty Stadium, thinking of the Glory that would had been his. (Really that was something of a Dick Move there, Doc?)

# It is is interesting how this Episode reminds you that the Zelan's killing of the Psychics all over the world and targeting Sanshiro, created the circumstances that brought him to join the Daiku Maryu. They took away his dream, but he got Gaiking.
