It's another not-Gundam! This time, it's the L-Gaim from Heavy Metal L-Gaim, another robot show from the same guy who created Gundam.

L-Gaim is another of those shows I'm not overly familiar with, but I do know that Mamoru Nagano, the guy who designed all the robots, would reuse a lot of the plot points, concepts, and even some of the names of the mecha in his later manga series, Five Star Stories. It also has another incredibly catchy theme song! L-GAAAAAAIM!!!

This kit was definitely something different for me. It was a reissue of a kit from around 2001 with a few newly designed parts to improve its articulation, but it still needed quite a bit of extra work to get it looking presentable. Still, I think it was worth doing something out of the ordinary.
