Now I might be mistaken in all of this but I think there's a chance that Claire wants to go shopping. Kong and Malcolm are thinking it through a more logical point of view in regards to what is the most efficient use of their time. That if there are things they need to use their powers, they may not know what they are so they should get the training first so they know what to look for. Malcolm is more the route of it should be obvious if they need something and everyone's going to get training first so it is far better to put off the training until there isn't as much of a line. Either way, hotel first. Haven't decided if the willpower roll will happen at the hotel or when they get to the market as I don't think it makes sense to do it at both since they aren't in the hotel long. Probably best to do it early so that if there is a reason to do another in the market I can.
