Following all the rambling that slowly built up throughout the ceremony, I thought it was a little unnerving to see the crowd just walk away after all of that. Have they come to terms with the fact that their lives are entirely dependent on Luna's decisions, or are they simply afraid of invoking her wrath by asking her questions? It's safe to say that faith in Luna will continue to be challenged by the guardians and the populace, while the knights she's chosen continue to travel across the land with their mysterious bag.
Because Nigel is Nigel, and because of his rebellious streak has been made very evident by now, I'm going to guess that he will open the bag at some point, but he won't be able to see what's inside because he's blind.

I'm thinking that they will open it and when they do, find something that is truly heart-breaking. My personal guess is that it will be a part of the Tree-of-Life's essence, so in short, she might be sacrificing herself, for the help of the Lurka Queen. I hope i'm wrong but we'll see.
Considering it is a small bag and not a big jar, as well as chaos being enough of a curse as it is.. I am betting more on it being similar to the gift from Eolos to Odysseus.. something to make a lenghy journey even longer... maybe intentionally as a way for them to be tested as a group and reach there as what they are meant to be.

My money is on Chili also: Leo is way too smitten to doubt. Mira respects her mom enough to obey. Nigel is blind and probably doesn't give a shit - he would just to spite Luna, but there really isn't a payoff for him. Tristan is a sweetie and also respects Luna, so probably not him. Chili though is an impulsive wildcard here.
To yotambc: Assuming you see this and you're not as dumb or easily confused as you portray yourself,(It doesn't help that you're not subscribed here.) the reason why the crowd left is that in the previous page, Lynus reminded them who is protecting them. While they are still concerned about the new knight, most if not all of them still respect Luna's decisions.
