Life's been a bit hectic so I've been slow, but hey, now I'm done and ready to take on more pics! Though this one was fun to do. I went with flat color because I thought it looked better for this picture.
I always work on a tint too, so I left that in to let anyone interested know how I work.
Most of the time, it's a faded version of the color I'm going to use to draw/ink with.

I think it's that you can choose the brush shape and in this case, I chose a hard edge. It still has a slight drop to give it that soft end but not to the point it's pixelated.
Give it a shot if you think you'd have interest. I use the english pack for the software.

The pen tool specifically. (The watercolor tool is fun to use as well)

Whatever you enjoy doing =p
Everyone has the ability, but I think the biggest thing is most people that start young don't remember the trial and error bit for the basics that can be frustrating to people who start at a later stage.
Like those kids who learn instruments at 5 and people in high school just want to die because of how good the kid is =p
But it's really time spent practicing, not age.
Sungha Jung is an excellent finger stylist guitar player, but he also plays around 3 hours a day minimum.
Most people practice for a short while (guitar class is at most, 40 minutes) and then go on with the day.

Very nice! I like the slightly muted tone to the colors, makes it almost seem like an old portrait done on parchment paper.
One thing, though, is that his right arm looks a little short compared to the rest of his body. Nothing serious, it's likely just that particular angle throwing me off.
Thank you very much for doing this! :3
