Birch and Stargazer argue over who is to blame for Dipper's little adventure.
This is the second chapter created. I began to flesh out the personality of Birch in it, as fairly high strung and a perfectionist as well as an artist. What I always loved about this chapter is the points each brought up are quite valid. But each is trying to claim ultimate responsibility, which actually belongs to neither.

Dan Draper is Dipper's Father. He is in the Air Force, presently stationed in Afghanistan.
Birch Draper is Dan's brother, and Dipper's uncle. He is younger than Dan.
Aurora Draper is Dan's wife and Dipper's mother. She is the sister-in-law of Birch. Her maiden name is Borealis.
Stargazer Borealis is Aurora's sister, Dipper's uncle, and the brother-in-law of Dan. This also makes him kind of the brother-in-law of Birch.
Dipper is the son of Dan and Aurora, and the nephew of Birch and Stargazer.
Does that clear it up?

That's nothing compared to the backstory Stargazer shared with Birch about raising Dipper. I'll bet poor Birch felt rather awkward when Star mentioned his brother indirectly.*
