I have to vote with Brand on this one. The chottoshita koto has been nothing but trouble from the get-go. Further, he got them into this mess in the first place with his greed. Now add in that he's a soul-eating lich and taunts the Reapers with his stupidity regularly. They're better rid of him. He's been NOTHING but The Load from panel 1.
He needs them a hell of a lot more than they need him. Let him go off and sulk a while and sink in just how deeply he screwed himself.

I agree with Brand....... Roko hasn't done anything to help them and he has caused more trouble for them because of his greediness. Roko needs Brand and Saida way more than they need him!
Betcha Roko will not last 5 minutes before he eats a lot of spirits at once for a huge feast, before gets popped and gets put into a jar, captured by the Puppetmaster or the Evil Queen, or he loses his balloon disguise and gets chased by the Reapers. If Roko gets chased by the reapers, Roko better hope that he can eat all of the reaper before they slashed his soul completely, lol. XD
Super awesome job on your comics page as always Virmir. Keep up the awesome job and I am so proud of you, Virmir!!!!
Seeing your comics page and drawings always makes my day better. ^^
I can't wait to see what happens next. ^^

Considering how Roko chose to be abusive even parting ways, I hope better for the duo. Now that it's confirmed that Roko's a boneafide undead creature, the Eye isn't really going to do anything for him and as a greedy person, why should he bother?
Hopefully all this means is just a little less accuracy, and the duo can continue with their quest, while the thief goes and becomes the World Eater or something.

Well I mostly meant that odds are he’ll be back sooner or later, but is it because he misses them or realizes he what he did wrong, because they missed him and realized what they did wrong (even though they’re technically completely in the right), or - perhaps most interestingly - he comes back as a villain, possibly manipulated by another entity into taking revenge on them.
I think the latter is probably the most likely path. We were introduced to a villain, "The Puppetmaster", which we haven't seen yet (maybe, given the evidence so far, it seems too easy for Ayal to be this Puppetmaster.) Roko's condition is probably more than suitable for the Puppetmaster's disposition, if it has a thing for animated objects.
“And nothing of value was…”
In all serious, I do honestly hope we do get some positive character development for Roko.
It’s one thing to have a character with flaws, but their better qualities do need to shine through.
Brand may be a bit rough around the edges and a hot temper, but it is clear he does care and does strongly want to do good and help others.
Saida may be naive and super emotional, but she is friendly, supportive, and caring, while also a good mediator and knowledgable on lore.
Roko, however, causes more problems than he fixes, and any fixes he does make are to problems he caused.
Not saying there aren’t some spots where a positive side shows, but they are too few and far between, and he shows he hardly thinks or reflects on his actions and how they may affect others.
He took the offering, and hid as soon as the Quartz showed up and blamed Brand, he jumped into the spell because of his own greed and blamed Saida.
He spent the previous chapter in a pot, and was almost reaped because his greed causes his pot to fall and break.
He didn’t offer his life force to the tree.
Heck, his first action was stealing balloons from a vendor, as a child was crying!
He is kind of a toxic influence.
I do kind of worry, not particularly fond of the “We Want Our Jerk Back” trope, as it almost comes across as attempting to justify an A-Hole being an A-Hole, and discouraging any character growth from them.
Like I post, not saying a character can’t have their faults, but their strengths should probably outweighs their flaws, or they undergo some character growth and learn to be a better person.
Not saying you can’t have a rogue in the party either, but there are also lines to that too.
Long story short, I do hope we do see some positive growth from Roko in this chapter, or his and Brand’s “friendship” becomes a more healthy one.
Intriguing page.
Looking forward to seeing more.

Roko doesn't have any reason for positive development, his mindset is entirely self-focused, so he really doesn't see anything to improve. Besides the whole "Being dead" thing.
People (And Youkai) like that are better off cast aside, they're lead anchors that refuse to let you be happy, if it means you're even a step closer to freedom from them. Knew people like that before.
