Gyako had a some strange dreams that night one of which greatly perplexed him. He found himself in a dark corridor with torches on either walls and heard a faint voice calling out to him.
"Gyako." "Gyako."
He turned his head to the direction of the voice and came face to face with an ominous room. He could see in the centre of the room a glowing white light on top of what seemed like a pedestal. He heard the voice call again.
"Gyako." "Gyako."
Gyako did not know why but he felt compelled to approach the glowing light. As he did it's light grew brighter and brighter and the voice grew louder in his head. He squinted to try and make whatever was glowing on the pedestal but the light it emitted was too great. He reached out his paw to touch it and the voices no longer called his named but was replace by screaming and the light grew so bright it burned his eyes. And then, he woke up.
Gyako sluggishly got up and held his head. What was all of that. He has never had a dream like this. What were those screams. Why did it feel so real, like this was going to happen. These thoughts raced through his mind until it was broken my a familiar voice.
"Bad dream?"
Zonos was sat next to him. It seems that he was the last one to wake up.
"Yeah um, I saw some strange light and heard a voice calling my name," Gyako replied.
"You're not going crazy are you," Taiyka teased as she walked over.
"I don't think so, I'm just confused."
"Don't worry..." Zonos said.
"Huh?"
"Everyone experiences some strange dreams from time to time. You may find them scary or confusing but they can be just as much of a guide which you could learn from. Maybe what you saw or heard could help your judgement in the future."
Zonos' abnormally long and philosophical explaination took Gyako off guard but gave him some ease. It was just a dream afterall and who could say that what he heard, all those voices and screams, would actually happen. He does plan to be careful though, especially since he will be traveling all over the island and seeing new things.
With all that finished the three cats had a few leftover fish for breakfast before they emerged from the forest into the warm sunlight.
"Ahhh this is nice," Taiyka said stretching her arms out to soak up the sun's rays.
"Yeah we should be able to make it to Wikari within a few hours if we stick to the path," Gyako said looking at his map.
"Well I guess this is goodbye..." Zonos said.
"What?!" Gyako said looking back at him, "You're not coming with us?"
"I don't want to get in the way..."
"Awww but you won't. Come on, don't you want to go on a crazy adventure? It'll be fun."
Zonos did not reply.
"Pleeeaaaaassssse?" Gyako pleaded with him with puppy dog eyes.
"... okay."
"Wow, that was easy," Taiyka joked.
"I don't have anything else to do..." Zonos shrugged.
"Well it's settled then, we're off to Wikari," Gyako said as he put his paw up to the sky in a confident pose.
"Onward to adventure!"
