The three cats proceeded on their trip to Wikari following the yellow sand path over a couple of small hills. It is a bright and clear morning with only a few clouds in the sky and nature was making its presence known by the birds singing in the forest behind them. It was a truly peaceful scene, though this peace was ultimately broken by a very intrusive red cat.
“So Zonos is it?” Taiyka started, “we didn’t really get to know much about you last night. You kinda nodded off real quick.”
The purple cat kept his head straight as if he didn’t hear her but does answer with his own question, “What would you like to know?”
“Y’know, where ya from?”
“Nowhere…”
“Nowhere? Where’s that?” she asks tilting her head all puzzled.
“I don’t live anywhere…”
“Wait,” Gyako interrupts, “you’re saying that you don’t even come from a nearby town.”
“Yes…”
“But you do have a home somewhere, right?”
“No…”
Gyako and Taiyka looked at each other.
“I just travel around the island,” Zonos continued, “I never stay in the same place for long.”
“You could come and live in Wikari” Taiyka said, “I’m pretty sure you would be very popular with your cooking.”
“I find too many people bothersome; I’d rather be on my own.”
“Awww but most of the people there are nice, I’m sure they won’t cause you any trouble.
“Yeah, not all of them wouldn’t cause me trouble,” Zonos said staring directly at her.
“Wow, how rude!” Taiyka exclaimed feeling attacked.
Gyako decided to change the subject slightly.
“Do you have any family? Brother? Siste-”
“No…” Zonos quickly responded.
“Really?!”
“Ha, lucky,” Taiyka said.
After that Zonos wasn’t too keen on answering any more personal questions even though Taiyka continued to pry. Zonos would give very short and vague answers that there was no way of piecing the information together. When her efforts became futile, she turned her focus towards Gyako.
“So Greeny what ya gonna do when you get to Wikari?” she asked him.
“Hmmm,” Gyako said putting his paw to his chin, “I’m not quite sure yet.”
“You don’t have a plan? Are you sure your ready for your little adventure?” she teased.
“Yes!” Gyako declared, “It’s just that I haven’t done this before.”
Taiyka was not buying his excuses. Suddenly, Gyako remembered what he was actually going to do.
“Right, I was supposed to find some sort of adventurer’s guild so I could get a guide and not just go around the area all willy nilly and potentially get myself in trouble. Do you all have that in your town?”
“Errrrrmmmm, I’m not sure,” Taiyka responded trying her hardest to remember, “It’s a big town so we miiiiiiiiiiight have one.”
“Then I guess we’ll see.”
The trio on the path for what seem like a few hours, idly chat with each other and taking the views some of which Gyako has never seen. Soon enough certain scenery was starting to become more familiar to Taiyka. She ran ahead of the two, looked back and shouted, “We’re really close, it’s just over this next hill. Come on!”
