this is like one of those restaurants where you pick the lobster you want and they cook it alive for you, except they direct you to a holding pen of assorted small, terrified critters with their arms and legs bound* and the one you want they just chuck it alive on your plate

Sharks are attracted to hair. Hair smells like shampoo, which is used to clean blood out of hair. Because of this, shark divers of the 18th century used to coat their hair with shampoo, but sharks could still smell the blood. Now the two smells are associated with each other, Sharks like purple mohawks because they are bright and unnatural, much like boats. Boats are filled with delicious things, like anchors. Hair is the anchor of the scalp. Sharks are basically whales with teeth.
