I love this huge umbrela!
I´m not so good with words and give a feedback like you, but i love the artwork very much. I like how you worked the shadows and the effect of sand is something what i will like try in my drawing too. :)
And sure the foot from Reptile in Background is just amazing I like how Greedo is smiling and it looks like, that he isn´t awaiting the foot behind them. It will be surely nice moment, when he will be just suprised, that the feet push him down on sand ground. :D
Thank you very much. <3

Heya, thankssssssssssss very much for the comment!!!
I'm very grateful and happy you like this version.
And yeah, the idea of an umbrella... I didn't even think of this. Yeah, it makes sense... after all, Greedo is very small so he needs something to hide!
XD
The colouring was a huge challenge because of Greedo's blue skin. And it just happened by accident that I added a "sunset" photo in the background and it worked!
^^
And yes... after all the "Reptile" artworks you've done for me... I thought it'd be nice to add at least his gigantic foot somewhere!
XD
Glad you like it!

Of course, I like fictional characters, but if I learn that someone is real, I see it in a completely different way. It's amazing.
In all my years of collecting comics and pictures, if I learned after a while that some of them are real, it surprised me.
Really, the only thing missing from perfection is the ability to change into its character ^^

This would already be a rather complicated debate.
Even if your profile says you're not a reptile, you're basically a direct representative of one.
But then again, each person perceives and presents their furry character slightly differently.
That's why, as a linguistically illiterate person, I wouldn't go deeper into such a debate :D

Well, I have been asked many times if I wanted to "become" Reptile... getting a suit, ya know. But I've never thought myself of wanting that. I've never actually wanted to play my character... isn't that weird? I could think of fighting alongside my character though... if someone else would dress up like Reptile... or if he WAS real indeed... I would like to meet him. Right now... I'm his creator... his "father" so to speak. And that's fine!
On the other hand, I don't have a problem with people who call me "Reppy" and want to interact accordingly... such as "May I hug you?" or "I want to feel your muscles" and so on. That's cool and cute!

This could be a very interesting discussion indeed.
But the suit and the change into reality, the real transformation, those are two different things. I think the latter might be worth it, it would change the thoughts and the perspective on the matter quite a bit.
The fursuit is a cool thing, but reality is something else, Therians know, I've always been so at the crossroads between those two realities.
But we're getting pretty off topic, aren't we? :D

I get swept up in the sheer wondrous fascination being emitted by those wide amber eyes of his. You could stare forever into the deepest fathoms of his existence through those golden peepers, they are equal parts cute and mesmerizingly endearing at the same time. I wonder what is crossing his mind at this particular moment... He seems to be almost caught in the realization that something he wants is within reach and can be his, after a long and tedious searching process. I know it's likely not what the artist or character owner intended but when I see him, my first interpretation of his visage is the acceptance of his sexuality based on an internal monologue he is having with himself.
"Is it O.K. to be gay...???" He might be slinking off into the golden crested swamp lands to have a moment alone, wondering this over and over. I am not sure how old he is, he does seem on the younger side, so perhaps this conversation he has with himself hasn't come too late after all. "Of course it's fine, no worries!" would be a rough answer, coming from his sub-conscious. In fact the entire look on his face just screams 'happy self-acceptance' immediately to me.
Like I already said, I'm sure it's not what was intended but I can't help how I see things. Now let's get into the visual artistic skill. The shading is gorgeous and we can even make out the subtle slinking slices of darkness as the source of light cascades over his beautiful cobalt skin. Such a wonderful shade of deep sapphire, a welcome addition to the usual repertoire of green and red skin that populate Reptile's traditional world (those are super hot too, though of course.)
Not sure what is going on with that GI-nourmous scaly foot behind our hero here. Hopefully it's from a friendly creature who is also relaxing in the evening Patagonian sunset just like our main character. Care to offer any context to this interesting arrangement?

Heyo! And thanks again for a wonderful comment!
The ember eyes... yeah, they look great! I liked the costume very much and the eyes are quite captivating... and I tried to implement this to my artwork.
It's funny that you think that he's dwelling in such deep thoughts... I like the idea that he's lost in thoughts and it's cool that people have all kinds of different ideas here. ^^ Nice!
In fact, I had nothing particular in mind... he's enjoying the evening and - since he loves feet - he's enjoying that huge sole and toes even more!
XD
But "self-acceptance" seems to be one of many strong, interesting themes... oh yes!
^^
I'm glad you like that blue skin tone... though blue colours are darn difficult to colour or shade. And it's such a dominant colour that it usually does not fit to anything else!!!
XD
The huge foot is a personal gag between me and my buddy. ^^ His character loves feet. His character is often very small. His character loves to cuddle huge feet.
I didn't want to draw a cuddle scene or something with licking feet... but after the character was done I thought it'd be funny to add a huge foot (Reptile's foot!) in the background.
Was any "macro stuff" going on?
Did Reptile grow to a huge monster because of a spell?
Why? What? When? How?
It all does not matter!!! It's just a funny joke. And since Greedo loves huge feet... there we go.
XD
If you check my friend's gallery you will find all the context you need. ^^

Who among us hasn't drifted into the chasms of murky swampland, just to be alone with our thoughts for a few hours? It's almost a rite of passage in these days. That's why I assumed he was performing some rare meditation, reflecting on the nature and value of his self-acceptance, versus what his society dictates of him. I don't know the background of the character's life, if it's been fleshed out enough to make determinations about his motivations.
Thank ye for explaining the enormous foot in the background, that was throwing me into different directions during my theory forming and I eventually had to give up and wonder out loud "WTF!?"
Greedo has such enthusiasm for worshiping Reptile's scaly stompers... Notice the sheer joy and enthusiasm as he continues to lick, lick, lick.
There is actually another piece in which Greedo is going to town on Reptile's feet, they are in a tavern area and this foot worship seems to be their after-dinner activity. Reptile seems to be in a situation of a stern judgment, carefully waiting to see if Greedo can accomplish a satisfactory session of feet-licking.

Yeah, I also think that he was just enjoying the moment. ^^
After all... aside from the lovely feet... there's also a nice sunset, the beach and the ocean.
And yep... the licking thing is a joyful service that Greedo offers to the ones he admires.
^^"
Hehehe... it's just fun. Harmless fun.
