Mige vs Toqua. Fight. More seriously, though, this was a rather fun chapter to write. Not as much fun as say Carol v Ret. But it had it's very enjoyable parts and is one of the chapters I will occasionally just re-open the file to just read again. And I'll admit that I did end up doing a bit of a cop-out in that Toqua very specifically asks Mige what they're doing on the station and Mige responds with a non-answer. A factual, cryptic answer, sure, but a non-answer.

Though there is something to point out that I'm pretty sure no one caught onto up to this point. There is a branch of kitsune that are akin to the amish in that they reject technology and live simply, usually shown as taking on the form of an ordinary fox with multiple tails. This group are considered to be Feral. And if you look back through the story you'll find that almost every character calls Mige a Feral based on their appearance. There is only slight typo in one of the first chapters where I forgot that distinction and a character that should have referred to him as a Feral calls him a fox. But beyond that typo there are only three characters that do not refer to Mige as a feral, but as a fox. For Mige is not a feral as they are not a kitsune. One of those is Richard, who starts calling him a fox, then after getting rebuffed for calling Magis a lizard starts calling him a kitsune. And then you have Ret and Carol, who always refer to Mige as a fox. This shows just how much more observant those two are compared to everyone else.
