Admittedly I'm probably talking out my rear end when it comes to what would be valid strategies in space warfare. But this is just what I figured would be a logical assessment of how a battle would develop when rechargeable defenses are available. And it'd make sense that you'd want to be constantly moving to keep letting the shields recharge or at least have the damage spread out a bit more. And that it'd be the smallest ships in the middle, then the bigger ships behind them, then the bigger ships behind those, then bigger ships behind those, etc., etc. If I'm wrong, feel free to inform me otherwise.

As for the Carol-Ret segment this is an interesting way to sneak in some lore while also showing just how formidable an opponent Carol is for Ret. That she does her research and it's her job to know just about everything going on. I think it would be interesting to see how she'd fare against the wits of Mige, but there's the simple issue in that neither of them have any actual reason to do anything with the other. Carol's only interest in Mige is what's Ret's interest in Mige. They aren't doing anything to otherwise draw her attention. And Carol is neither involved in Mige's job on the station, nor does she provide him anything he wants, so he has no reason to approach her.
