This is from an RP I am doing so let me explain x3

First of anyone here can see inspiration is taken from Atlas the titan from Greek mythology. While it is true he is depicted as carrying the world on his shoulder the real story is this of him.

He was sentenced by zeus to carry Uranus (Heaven) up awayy from Gaia (Earth) so they would never embrace each other again in love and holding up the heavenly spheres in the process aswell.

Now for the idea, In the RP my char Zelos is the Grand Marshal of the umbrean army, through many years of service where he stand firmly for what he believe in there, freedom for people, doing your best for yourself and to help others and always help those in need and several other things, he have acquired a reputation which mirrors several of the many nicks he have also gained.
"The invincible Marshal", as the nick tells he is thought of as being invinicible which comes from him having been able to pull himself from the grasp of death back to the world where others would die. Naturally this is not the case he simply wont give up.
"The iron marshal" This nick comes from multiple sources, both from having automail on arm and leg after having lose them in battle but could also be because his entire spine has been replaced with an automail replacement, or simply because his will is unbendable where its even said it can bend steel.

I think those explains more than enough the point. Many have idealised him there which doesnt please him in the slightest but he lets it slide if thats what people do.

Now to the picture itself, he is the kind of person who gladly takes on burdens of others as already indicated if he think it'll help them so people have drawn paintings of him like this picture called "The Burden reliever" where there is a part underneath saying "No man can carry the burden of the world on his shoulders, but if there is one it is him"

Yes it is a highly idealized picture which is the intend as people do idealise and romantize figures if they become important/big.
