Oh, I remember seeing a similar cave in the ⛏️ "El Teniente" mine in Chile. The crystals had the same geometry, they were quartz. Beautiful job.

That is a really cool background! The reflectivity and shading on the crystals looks quite realistic. Did you use an existing crystal cave as a reference for it?

Thank you! I looked up photos of the Cueva del los Cristales in Mexico as well as amethyst crystals for reference, but I'm fairly familiar with their looks as I used to collect minerals as a kid. It's mostly painted following my feeling as I wouldn't even try to get accurate light effects in a picture like this. That would probably require a 3D model and raytracing.
