Zax: You're telling me that your national hero was a Mapuche human who had his hands axed by Spanish colonists before he asked your people to attach blades to his severed wrists so he can go Wolverine on them? Now that's something!
Juno: No doubt did Galvarino caused a lot of carnage against the colonists. Leoncio was never in Chile during the days of Galvarino. If I remember right, when Leoncio was asked if he wanted to go to Chile to stop Galvarino, he refused because after being told who Galvarino was, he decided not to deal with such a violent human being.
Chuong: A man whose screams of war and for freedom lasting for centuries way after his death? Now that's way too much pain for him to deal with after having his hands chopped off.
Diego: If you visit my country and you see graffiti depicting Galvarino in our cities, you'll understand us.

Gallant Goalie: Perhaps that's how you gained your hands back, going into the time warp.
Leobardo: Yes; I believe so.
Leoncio: You are correct, Juno. I had no intentions of dealing with that man. No hard feelings, though, Leobardo?
Leobardo: Not at all. Thankfully the future has been so much more peaceful so far. I know I haven't been here long.

Chuong: Leobardo never had his hands amputated because Spanish colonists were unable to capture him. After all, there were rumors that Layth the Mughal Lion from Pakistan was executed by the British Empire after the end of the Mughal Empire but turns out that a body double took his place allowing him to keep on living uncaptured and unseen.
Gallant Goalie: Oops, sorry. That's the trouble with the fact these lions experience the time warp; it always leads to history being told wrong.
Leobardo: Even I was almost prone to believe that. It's the headache I suffered; I'll blame it on that.
Layth: As we speak, I'm having statues and memorials built to salute the body double of me.

Chuong: *To Leobardo* Sounds like you were in the midst of a battle against a conquistador who wanted to go after your hands with an axe and I'm assuming you were using a spear and shield to hold them back.
Diego: Forgot to mention that we even have a town named Galvarino, which is actually founded by Swiss immigrants.

Thank you. Each individual parallel of my original signature OC (Leo the Patriotic Lion) has a significant attachment to the country they represent in one way or another. For example, we have Renata the Maori Lion, who represents New Zealand. So he's also indigenous.
I'll see what I come up with; the parallel of Leo (but not Leo himself) are joint-owned by me and
Chuong; most of the ideas are his. I came up with two Canadian parallels myself, but they're not indigenous. They do, however, prioritize those people.
