Ever since I got this amazing spider adopt from my bestie FizzyEmbers I knew I had to draw her. As usual I ended up putting some of myself into the final design, but most of it stayed as it was so fuckin good.

This is Aureliia Munsi. She's a trans + bi peacock spider. Like many of my spider ocs she immigrated from the country she came from (Malaysia, or whatever their equivalent would be). Her parents traveled to the US when she was just a little hatchling. Aureliia is, very obviously, someone who has undergone a lot of medical trauma. As a child she survived quite an ordeal. She was very young when it happened. She has scars from the incident and from the procedures done so she could live. However, Aureliia Munsi is so much more than a horrific story told on true crime podcasts and tv specials. She has gone on to become a very esteemed makeup artist in LA. She grew up in Florida and a lot of that very stereotypical Florida stupidity and insanity is baked right in the center of her cookie heart.

Aureliia had to fight tooth and nail (sometimes literally) to make sure she can provide beautiful and striking makeup effects. She can do a lot. She can also do natural looks for more subdued roles, but she doesn't like those as much. However, a lot of people cruelly ask her to do makeup for horror movies. Saying "you'll know how to make it look believable and grotesque, with how you look." Which, honestly, bothered her some at first. Except she fuckin LOVES the horror and supernatural genre. To spite ableists, she once did the special effects and makeup for a high profile horror movie (something like a James Wan production, like the Insidious franchise). It was so profitable and her work was so revered that she became one of the baddest bitches in the game. It's what put her on the map and she's been spitefully succeeding ever since. To those that love the realm of makeup artistry, her name is a very popular and often cited one.

When she isn't on set or part of a project, she answers interview requests and talks to reporters every now and then to revisit what happened to her. And when she's not doing that, she's busy living her best instagramable LA life with her friends.

Aureliia is dumb and fun as hell. She has no idea why anyone wouldn't want to be with her, and has a great outlook on living with her disabilities. Her confidence, competence, and hilarious personality lends themselves to giving her lots of partners. She has to deal with a lot of medical problems, but it helps that her will to live is seemingly endless and ridiculous. She has a deep love of snakes, rose quartz (and crystals in general), stars, fine wines, and pastel palettes. She can't stand to be called an inspiration or when people make it seem like her attitude negates her struggles. She's just a real live wire and she's got a life to live.

Aureliia is also the biological half sister of Hyun-Jin. They have the same sperm donor father. Hyun-Jin and Aureliia never meet in canon, but it's crazy how alike they end up being over the course of their lives. Her mother and adopted father, and her sister, are her whole world. That said, her parents carry too much guilt from what happened, and it's strained their relationship considerably.
