This is one of my game races known as a Zhel. I've already written a HUGE document about them. So i'm going to be a lazy cunt and just paste it in here.

Appearance and Physiology

Zhel appear as a form of hybrid between a weasel and a tiger halfling. Their fur is short and glossy, and their colors usually vary quite widely between the spectrums of blues, greens, and whites. Their stomachs and under bodies are usually white. All Zhel are born as a form of unisex, featuring both large male genitals (average length is 14 inches) and female reproductive organs located behind their scrotum. Zhel all have two exceptionally long and strong tails which are used to aid them in swimming. By swiping their tails, or whirling them around like a propellor, they are able to swim with great ease. Zhel stand at a height range of 5'8" - 6'3" and generally weigh between 160 and 200 pounds.

They are healthy in their physiques and take pride in their muscularity. A Zhel's head has a weasel like shape, yet retains the broadness of a tigers near the front and sides. Their noses are generally feline. A rare 4% of Zhel are born with faded stripes, that often stay through the rest of their lives.

Zhel breathe water, similar to how a fish uses gills, however, the chemistry occurrs in their lungs. Zhel lungs are 25% larger then a humans lungs, and are dual chambered. The first chamber holds water, and filters the oxygen out of the water, directly into the second compartment, where it acts as a normal human lung. The water and carbon dioxide is then exhalled, and a fresh breath begins the cycle again.

When breathing on the land, the first compartment of the lung is not used. It is possible for a Zhel to exhale oxygen instead of carbon by forcing the oxygen from their second lung chamber. This ability allows a Zhel to save a drowning individual with a great deal of ease, and is often seen frequently in offshore boating accidents. When on the land, a Zhel typically carries a first chamber full of water, which they often regurgitate, and drink when thirsty.

Zhel bodies are powerful, and as such, require a great deal of energy. Zhel eat twice as much food as a human or halfling, and typically they will gorge on two or three exceptionally large means, preferring to eat seafood over other things. Zhel exhibit a great amount of mesomorphism, and gain muscle mass with exceptional ease.

History and Population

Zhel are native to the Alaisian Archapellago, and populate those islands and their waters rather densely. The Zhel originated as an offshot species of F'al Diel, and evolved into their own species approximately 40,000 years ago, making them a relitively young race. Zhel have since then populated other places of the world, but mostly inhabit Alaisia and surrounding continents.

Their natural Xenophilic side has driven them to explore, a deep passion for meeting the unknown lies deep in their blood. Many Zhel over the centuries have become explorers, diplomats, and forign dignitaries. Zhel have created and populated vast cities in the oceans about the world, and gladly share their areas with the other denizens of the ocean, be they merfolk, fish folk, or Tritons. To this day (1600) Zhel account for 3 % of the worlds population.

Reproduction and Organization

Zhel are a sexually agressive race. All members of the race are born as hermaphrodites, but only the strongest of males remain this way their whole lives. A zhel's sexual life determines quite a great amount of it's very existance. As a whole, Zhel males despise one another, as part of a natural mating war. When mating, two Zhel will begin a fight. This ranges from wrestling, to brawling and physical dominance. The struggle can be a short as a few minutes, or last as long as several hours, with both males struggling to stay on top. Once one male submits, he is dominated and bred. During the act of sex, the dominant Zhel bites the neck of the submissive zhel and releases several powerful chemicals into the blood of the victim. These chemicals enact a large change in the submissive Zhel. After the sexual encounter, the submissive Zhel will become dazed, and leave.

During the next 2 months, a fantastic change will happen to this Zhel. He will lose small amounts of muscle mass. His physique will change and his hips will grow outwards, waist narrowing. Breast tissue will form on his chest, and an exceptionally ample busom will grow. His penis, and testicles will slowly wither, and fall off painlessly, while his vagina will move forewards in time with the pelvic growth. After two months, he will become a fully functional Zhel Female. During this same time, the dominant Zhel will also undergo changes. His muscle mass will drastically increase, as will the vascularity of his endowments. The dominant male will feel greater urges to increase his muscle mass, and will begin seeking out any way to do this as possible. His nipples will also become fuller, as will his pectorals, as they begin to produce milk, and will do so for the rest of his life.

Throughout the course of their lives, Zhel males will always attempt to dominate one another in order to secure the strongest breeding rights, the stronger a Zhel becomes, the easier it is to breed a family. Zhel mothers typically give birth to a single child and once they have done so, will lactate for the rest of their lives. Zhel have a normal social standard of family. And a father Zhel is of course, dedicated to his family. However, it is also accepted that a male Zhel will try to find other male Zhel to dominate, and create strong families, and thus there is no concept of "cheating" in a Zhel family. Because of this, it is considered Exceptionally rare, and special, for a Zhel to marry and dedicate himself to only one female.

Homosexuality is also an exceptionally bizarre concept to a Zhel. While it is only seen in 1% of the Zhel population, two males can fall in love with one another. When this happens, a gentle licking of the neck of the submissive Zhel signifies that his masculinity is not in danger, and both ravenously embrace the sexual act. Two male Zhel will both feel the violent surges of physical strength that dominant males encounter (provided they both breed one another in sucession, which is typical in this rare union). It is not uncommon for homosexual Zhel to seek out, and double team single Zhel, working as a team to strengthen their species. However, male Zhel can not become pregnant, and thus ejaculation inside the submissive male has no effects. It has been noted that after the first breeding, a Zhel's c hemical saliva will not effect the submissive zhel. It is speculated that this has something to do with the transfer of semen locking out sections of the Zhel's DNA, and acting as a protective coating.

Breeding outside of their species has interesting results. A Zhel will retain several characteristics of the species which they bred with, but will generally remain a full Zhel. Zhel enjoy breeding with Firefoxes, and other species from F'al Diel, and Alaisia, though those Zhel often leave the bizarre social structures of their parents, and settle into a more standard way of living.
