Gonna casually share my husband's animation that he made to promote his book. I did the buildings in the background of the boat scene and the monster in the water, and the thumbnail edit.
I'm just going to post the douser here because the buildings technically are still in the work-in-progress stage, and I need to draw the roads and flora and things to that. But yeah. Go watch his animation RIGHT now. Or else.

It's really difficult, to design a creature that's living in a very particular element... in this case: the deep, dark, cold water!
In this case, the creature looks just like a water creature should look like - it's highly adapted to the element! There's not a single doubt where this thing lives... and that's really realistic and highly believable.
I like the streamlined design of the body which should allow the Douser to swim incredibly fast! Also, the tentacles and fins can surely capture each prey very quickly.
I can't wait to learn more about the Dousers for they're also very interesting and far away from being boring or stupid. They're rather mysterious!
