Todd had given up on the idea of being thin at this point, going from a fit bordering on muscular dog to being a doughball of a pooch.
He was starting to like how the extra padding felt.
It kept him warm on the chilly nights that his town was known for, he liked that now he could indulge himself a bit and not worry about upsetting the lady in his life. Heck she wanted him to grow bigger and softer!

And the tummy rubs! Don't get him started on how good those feel now, every rub making him jiggle and cause him to make happy whimpering noises.
His mother Cordelia thought it was a bit odd that he was taking to it so fast, but wasn't surprised since softer bodies ran in her side of the family. They met for a sundae at local ice-cream parlor, and Todd introduced his beloved mother to his feline sweetheart.
Cordelia: "So Yanka is it? I must say that you've certainly... improved my son's appearance?" She said unsure of whether to compliment her or be disturbed that she's done this much to her darling son so quickly.
Yanka: "Hehe, I guess I have been a bit eager to make my corgi cuddlier." As she scratched him behind his right ear.
Todd: "Besides mom, us corgis look better with a few extra pounds right?"
Cordelia: "Well I can't argue with that, can't quite picture myself being skinny either. Your dad would definitely agree with that sentiment."
Yanka: "I hope you two are hungry, I went ahead and ordered you both a big banana split with caramel sauce. My treat!" She said putting an arm around the both of them.
Cordelia: "Well that's awfully sweet of you. Thank you Yanka."
The trio had a lovely time and got to know each other a bit better, Todd was glad that his mom seemed to approve of his new sweetheart. Meanwhile the gears were turning in Yanka's head...

The lioness thought to herself: "Oh my gosh! His mom looks so, so, tender. Maybe I'll see if I can trick her like I have Todd? No, no I mustn't be too greedy, folks will start to notice if I do that."
The three then went on a little shopping spree at the local stores, Todd footing the bill wanting them both to have a good time out. His mother picking out a new collar for herself, a nice fashion statement amongst canine circles along with a cute blue sweater. While Yanka had sort of an odd list of purchases, among them being a pair of sterling silver earrings, a new kitchen knife, and some Tupperware.


After parting ways for the day, Yanka was getting her vile plans ready for her not-so-little canine companion. Pre-prepping some delicacies for their next and final meeting...
