Hey guys!
I sketched a little private piece for me and felt the need to finish it for myself^^ Been a bit since I illustrated myself fully in an image (despite my headshot illustration) and I truly wanted to do this charming little image as it gave me good vibes as a sketch already!
I honestly had such a blast working on this on my days off! I came to realise even more how much I love the season of Autumn and the warm, spooky Halloween vibes! It feels so wholesome to me and I also plan on walking around in my Fursuit on Halloween, wearing an additional witch costume on top, which is why I implemented it here in this drawing! There's actually a lot to tell about it haha.
I wanted to illustrate something simple, yet effective while also not overdoing it in regards to shading and painting. Something simple is what I needed and I still think it turned out much more detailed than initially planned, which is something I'm happy about and proud of. I wanted to draw the colourful leaves, chestnuts and acorns as some of my favourite elements of autumn. I also added my little ghost plushie I got from Aruna_Shine, so if you like the little ghost fella, I recommand checking out her page and maybe even buying one for yourself!

Additionally, I added two crows since I LOVE these birds! We have about 30 in our closest area and I feed them peanuts whenever I go for a walk. At this point, they recognise and follow me, some getting more attached to me than others but it's a blast to see them fly around me^^
What I also did is try out new things with the background I rarely ever did before. For starters, I used lineart for the background which is a little tedious, but kind of frames the image nicely and on top of that, I didn't fill the entire canvas to create an interesting illusion of the image coming forward^^ I wanted to have that white border around the picture for some reason haha. What do you think? Did I suffice with the illustration style?
